n8ball2013
if you are that low at idle your amp could be in protect because of it. checking the voltage should be your next step. devilman
Wouldn't tha protection light come on though? I took the woofers back out to return them and even with no load on the amp the light will come on like the amp is on then it'll go off like it lost power. And it has power to it but it seems low according to what I've read. Oh and the new IDQs have a plastic basket and when I took mine back out 1 of them was seperated from the top, the plastic cracked away from the top ring. devilman
Okay so now the amp went into protection. I have checked everything reccomended by yall to check and I replaced my batteries and alternator. I put another amp in and it doesn't have any problems. I think there's something wrong with the amp itself. Who do I need to get in contact with to get it repaired or warrantied? Thanks Edited January 28, 2011 by devilman

devilman
Thanks man, I totally forgot about them, we've sent amps to them before. I'm gonna check with SSA on seein if I can get it warrantied, I bought it last april so there should still be a warranty on it. I think db-r charges only $100 to fix it anyways so it's not bad. Rebel4055
before you send the amp in, hook it up in another car. Quote Rest In Peace mother. sundownz
Our amps have a 2-year warranty provided it is a product defect of some kind -- in any event, we can test it out here and determine if replacement / repair is needed since you purchased it within this period. raolito1980
Yes I know I sound dumb and should know alot more but all I have to go on is how I've been taught so far, that's why I came on her to learn. I haven't before cuz of all the name calling that happens when you ask "stupid" questions. I ran the ground threw the floor to the frame on both my amps and the amp is getting between 10.4-11.2v at idle. Tha highs amp is getting tha same voltage but works fine, doesn't shut off. The 1500 is still shutting off. Do yall think I need an upgraded alternator an batteries? and if so what size alt and batteries? The V at the front batteries is 12 Thanks. Yea I know what you mean. You got someone name calling and disrespecting that makes you not want to ask anything. Hey at least you are asking and trying, I respect that. Hopefully you figure your amp out man. Like someone stated earlier we didn't get the knowledge magically. We all learned one way or another.
