AMI CUSTOMS Posted April 25, 2011 Report Share Posted April 25, 2011 I wouldn't do the dimpled tape on a flat smooth surface, you want the air to be direct and fast, the dimples would slow down the air on a flat straight surface, you only would want to do this on a arced angled surface to direct the air to a tighter area thus speeding it up. Just my view on it. Any time you have have a power wire next to your frame put some rubber hosing (or cut up an innertube) around it. Yeah man, painting the box helps, i don´t have any proof because i haven´t test it on this topic, but a good friend of mine painted his ugly ass box´s exterior and gained 0.4 dbs, maybe because it ended up smooth as hell or maybe because red color add dbs lol, but he gained, we did the before/test comparisson of course....
