what about changing the sizes of the 45's and what about the pvc curves vs 45's

I only tested rounding with PVC, i didn´t think about testing the pvc corner vs the 45´s , that should be a good one, biggest problem for me is that i don´t have any way to do them right now, i only have a jigsaw, let me see if i can find one and build a 45 and test it against the pvc

Awesome video man!

Something you missed in the video was the direction of current flow and time delay. With series coils (depending on the winding) the current flows UP the coil then back DOWN causing the magnetic forces to fight each other slightly. Very slightly Again (and partly a causal factor of the coils "fighting" each other) with series the delay of energization the circuit will be greater.

Time delay is not a factor. AC current flows back and forth in 2 directions at the speed of light. The magnetic field is not effected at these close proximities and speeds.

Delay is a factor, just not enough to worry about in general.

or port towards the front and sub up

Nop, haven´t try that, i didn´t thought about that before, honestly i don´t think it would matter that much, the only difference would be the amount of internal space you are taking away depending on the 45´s size, i don´t think a bigger vs smaller corner should worth the time for testing, but, what i do think, is that great idea mentioned before, pvc roundover vs MDF 45´s , i´m gonna test that this weekend

I did try port forward once (a few years ago) and SUCKED ass unless the subs were facing forward also, but no problem, i´m gonna face it that way this weekend, also, if i face port up it would be pass the window line, but no problem, i´m gonna try that also, you never know what can happen, i remember a focus using Sundown´s that scored better with subs back/port up

you know how some prefab boxes have cotton and random things in it? try that out and see what that actually does for score and tuning. that would be fun. and how much in it and stuff.

rms burp and a spl burp would be fun to see on them.

different sized wire to the sub would be cool.

idk starting to run out of ideas, and i forgot what was all said.

try doing it on a Tuesday, then a Thursday. big gains to be found there.

after this is all done it would be fun to see how loud different places are in the car.

and like windows up down doors open and so on.

One thing I don't think that has been mentioned. Try burping it when it's hot outside. Don't cool off the car, just jump right in set everything up and do 1 burp. Then crank the AC till the whole car is cold, turn the AC off then burp

That actually was a topic a few days ago on another room between teamHT and myself, he said he didn´t gain anything and score didn´t change a lot, wich i find more than fine because people says that polyfill helps to your ears when the box is too small,i dunno anything about this since i´ve never used polyfill before, i did said on that topic that i was gonna try that thing out, i just need to find it cheap somewhere, remember that over here, everything it´s more expensive

Different sized wire it´s on the list, i haven´t changed tho because of lazyness , but that´s coming also; Didn´t understand the tuesday-thursday deal, but i guess it would be impossible since i have a daily job and i can´t skip work to test things out for this topic lol. Windows or doors open depends on the car and box, i can tell you this, i did try that on this application and it got louder with car all sealed up, also, the box positioning was tried at the beggining of the topic, loudest i found was sub side/port back , box 4" from the left wall of the car and port lined with the cargo hooks.

But yeah, wire it´s gonna be tested next, any other inputs? i´m making a list

Yeap, i haven´t got to that point on this test because of lazyness lol, i always burp my swift with the cabin cooled with the AC before burping and score always raises, maybe it depends on the car, weather, humidity or i don´t know, i haven´t test this on the explorer because gas it´s too expensive and my MPG rating on her sucks ass lol, but ok, i will compare both situations on the next pics, once again, i know it scores better because that always works for me

Well from what I've heard, the score should be higher with a lower temperature because the air is more dense. Not sure if you live in like the city or something, but I would even say maybe in the middle of the night, should already be cool then crank the AC for a couple minutes get it REALLY cold and then see your score. Theoretically it should be highest, but we'll see lol.
