AMI CUSTOMS
just to prove my friend sitting here wrong. when two amps are strapped, makes the into one & uping the power. (2) 35000 watt amps strapped together = (1) 70000 watt out put!! Yes, and the stable ohm load for the pair goes up so if you have two single 4k amps that are 1 ohm stable they each do 4k at 1 ohm but linked they will do 8k at 2 ohms, both amps are still doing the same power but at a higher overall ohm load. SQMonte
you leave it off or you can turn it all the way up, if its like sundown, the remote gain wont let you turn the gain up past the gain set on the actual amp Exactly! So when I use the gain knob, I just set the gain to 3/4 and use the knob to dial it in.The thing that sucks about setting your gain with a scope is that since not all recordings are identical, the appropriate setting changes from song to song, this is why I like having a gain knob. AMI CUSTOMS
AMI CUSTOMS next you should do a video on how to O scope strapped amps... It is on the list of up coming videos to make, once it gets warmer outside. you leave it off or you can turn it all the way up, if its like sundown, the remote gain wont let you turn the gain up past the gain set on the actual amp Exactly! This is how I have my AQ amps set as of right now, works great for different rap songs since my wall is tuned high(37 hz) Great info, probably gonna help tons of people out. Is this stickied yet? Thanks, I seen this question a few times a month and I have been PM'd several times on youtube about how to connect a pair. Video was easier then typing up a response every time. Alex K
Always wondered why the bass "boost" would stop at a certain point on the knobs ive used, (sundown and aq) now I know it wont go past the gain setting on the amp. Thanks. Also, I know clipping in general is bad, but it seems those aq clipping indicators go off quiet easily. If it flickers, is that necessarily bad? I know you dont want full light on, but sometimes when I had my old 1200 it would just barely flicker sometimes. 2006 Nissan Z Track.
