Winn Posted January 22, 2011 Report Share Posted January 22, 2011 I got one layer of SS on the trunk but i can still hear alot of trunk rattle. Should i put two layers? maybe 3? I want little rattle cuz rattling trunks are embarrassing Also should i have it ALL around the trunk and cover little holes? How many layers? and what are the good spots to apply it too. But what i did was cut little strips of ss and put it around the edge were the weather seal and metal meet. And it made the trunk a little harder to close but it killed rattle extreamly well. thecityxignites Posted January 22, 2011 Report Share Posted January 22, 2011 i would just deaden the whole thing. only because with all the vibration and the resonance of sheet metal, its probably going to find somewhere to rattle. two layers should do the trick, just do the entire lid and what you can inside the trunk.
