David711
I just bought a 98 yamaha atv without a motor and have a cbr1000 motor laying around would it be pointless to do it? Figured I could modify it and do it instead of looking for another motor for it since I haven't found one yet :/ Quote "WHOEVER SAID MONEY CAN'T BUY HAPPINESS MUST OF BEEN BROKE"
DStortz
If there is a will there is a way. I have seen Motorcycles with small black 350's on them, so i would think that you could get a 1000cc motor to work in this. n8ball2013
its doable... I have a raptor with a hayabusa motor in it.... i bet that thing rips. Slightly off topic but when i was still enlisted we had these little trucks that were about the size of a larger golf cart. They were real wheel drive no weight in the ass. one person could pick them up. They were also a 1300 cc engine and governed to 25 mph. We found out if we pulled the plug on the side of the tranny case it would kill the governor. If you've never done 80 miles an hour with no power steering in a truck that two people can flip over. You havent lived. I wasn't too sure and haven't looked at any of it next to eachother yet. I just figured I could make a fast 4 wheeler with what I already have instead lol Quote "WHOEVER SAID MONEY CAN'T BUY HAPPINESS MUST OF BEEN BROKE"

zayres29
it probably take the same work on either motor your still putting a 4cyl motor where a vtwin used to be you have to have pretty much all new electronics and such custom exhaust whole nine yards Quote Btw that was the first person. Ever banned by me while dropping a deuce. Feel privileged

It is a lot of work to do something like this. Throttle cable, clutch cable, shifter, aligning everything, exhaust, motor mounts, rear end bearings, chain and sprockets/gearing, etc. But in the end, itd be worth it... Its gonna be another money pit so I figured that I'm gonna go all out and forget the raptor motor and do something with a lot more power. Should have everything in the next week to start I can't wait! Quote "WHOEVER SAID MONEY CAN'T BUY HAPPINESS MUST OF BEEN BROKE"
