94retta(219) Posted January 30, 2011 Report Posted January 30, 2011 Okay so today i pulled my headliner out cuz the material was drooping and lookin kinna shity. So as i was pulling it out it just started breaking. I was carfull yet it still happened. Mind you my car is 16 years old, and has a sun roof. So were there are thin parts of the board and thats were it took a poop in about 5 different places. I cant seem to find a replacement for less then 180. If someone could tell me how to fix the one i have or find me web sit with them cheapish that would be great! Oh the car is a 94 chevy beretta z26. Quote BUILD LOG

This, mine was made of the thinnest fiberglass i've ever seen and where it broke i just put some more on. It really pisses me off cuz why in the hell wouldnt they form it out of plastic?? The gass idea is sounding pretty good tho. BeatBox Posted January 31, 2011 Report Posted January 31, 2011 where they $180 at the junk yard too? what i would do it try to get a used one even if the fabric is sht, aslong as the board part is good and re cover it with what ever fabric you need, i did mine in suede not 100% on this but someone said something about using duct tape on the parts where it was breaking off and then recovering it, but i think that would only help on small areas. if yours it too far gone then theres no point. The whole reason i took it out was to foam everything and throw some ss on there and reskin the headliner but i touched it and it just started crumbleing. I was also going to do mine in suede but i couldnt find any, so i got some black silk instead(; Quote BUILD LOG
