well according to alot of people on this forum who run a product, that is WAY over priced... those 2 pieces of gear are complete garbage...

at the moment, i do not have my equipment listed out, but the list i have made up, equals roughly 2200 minus the front stage cause im happy with what i have for now there

however my first decent setup, was 2 kicker cvr 15s (150 with box), rf prime 500 (100), 4 gauge rf wire (120, got raped on that), head unit was given to me, and 50 bucks for component infinity set front and back

so roughly 500 bucks after various little costs, and even though im not big on mainstream, none of the equipment is really low grade, i cant stand it when people say they want a budget system and go to walmart to find one, then swear its the best thing since sliced bread

Just because Walmart is an authorized pioneer dealer, doesn't mean it's not pioneer. And PLEASE do not try to tell me pioneer is low quality.

im not saying its low quality, but the stuff at walmart is not as good quality as it could be, plus its entry level lower end stuff, seriously you might say its good considering almost everything at wlamart is 100 or less, but if you look around you can get better quality stuff and spend not much more, i dont like it when peple ae just impatient and buy low end stuff jstu to havea bit of bass when they could spend a few hours or less looking around online and possibly get better equipment for around same price

i will say personally i only like pioneer for their h/u, unless you get their high end subs, i wouldn't touch the subs from pioneer and i dont care fo the amps (that is personal preference not degrading them) we all have the brands we like, i personally dont care a lot for much mainstream stuff

if i made that same statement but said lightning audio would you get mad, or vr brand, or sony xplods, all sold at walmart

walmart sells cheaper stuff, its been said many times walmart gets some special stuff made for them so they can afford to sell it cheaper, whether thats true i dont care, cause i dont get car audio at a supermarket

I agree with you, it is lower end stuff, and the part i bolded is what i didn't agree with, that you IMMEDIATELY knock anything from walmart. I was using pioneer as an example of a half-way decent budget system form walmart. If walmart didn't carry pioneer, then i would agree with you 100%, because the rest of those brands are crap.

My point is i would stand up for any brand i believe is decent quality. It just happened to be pioneer.

okay so i should add in more stores, like best buy, even a lot of local dealers around me only carry the lower end stuff

my issue is less with brand and whereto buy than with people who think its the only way to go about getting something on a budget, most people are too impatient and wont even check ebay

its like people getting upset when new people come on hear asking questions and wanting answers instead of searching the forum or even googling for basic answers, their just impatient and dont want to take even a little time out to make sure what options they have and how they can use their money more wisely

walmat here has all those brands but rockford, best buy used to carry rockford til it decided to carry kicker, i still stand by my statement, its really less the brand then why people thi8nki its their only option

but still i honestly believe a little research will provide you with a better chance at a decent setup with a similar price range and better quality equipment

ive sen plenty of people come on here saying this is their budget and they have been given many good suggestions of decently mid level equipment, not ocne have i seen someone say, just checkout your local walmart or best buy

Hey man, I was using rockford as an example. I know they don't carry it. I meant, if they DID, you guys wouldn't be so quick to jump on the people who go to walmart to buy a system, because you know they do sell SOME quailty items, and that's how i feel about pioneer.

I'm almost playing devil's advocate here. My entire set up was from amazon/sonicelectronix/ebay etc.. I don't have a 'high end high budget' build by any means, but i wouldn't consider it a "budget build". I've spent over a grand I'm sure, I'm too lazy to do the math right now. MAYBE that is low end? But going to school 8 hours a day, working part time for minimum wage with a 35,000 dollar loan to pay back in a year, spending $1500ish (or, 2 months of rent, food, utilities, car insurance) is a lot to me.

I would never try to build a system from walmart. But i don't think you should criticize people who do.

i understand where your coming form, im a full time unemployed student, my build is being paid for by a truck that was given to me for free and then i sold it, as well as car audio stuff that was bought for me and ive been selling it off and on slowly upgrading quality, because i am one to look for good deals

and thanks for replying to the guy telling him that what he said isnt what i was meaning, if you buy from walmart so be it, i just am always one for more bang for the buck, being unemployed ive learned how to live on very little so i know how to make my money give me the biggest return in cost effectiveness, i just think more people should give that a shot before just saying i want it now so im gonna go buy it

i only mentioned ebay because i have a friend that will not buy from ebay or any online retailed really, because he doesnt like having to wait for the product, however he will complain 24/7 for weeks until he finds the product he wants in person, instewad of getting it in a few days online, lol

im a noob who tries to help here he can and not step on toes, i do my best not to downgrade anything but somethings have to be said a certain way so the ACTUAL point is better understood

Lol, this reminded me of DeepHitter's $5,000 "budget system" to show the "little guy" that they can be loud too. Sure there were some concepts behind it, but the $5,000 budget for the "little guy" got me.
