    What's the difference between the STD lithium's and the SPL versions? Also with the chargers Li1215 and Li1225 would it matter which one was used on a xs15k or 30k for example? The Li1225 would just offer a faster charge rate correct? Thanks in advance!

    Ive always set mine with my car running, never had a problem what so ever. When Steve is showing his videos on YT doesn't he always have the batteries charging at the same time? that would almost be like having your car running wouldn't it?

    I believe in the manual its says to set it where you think you would normally have it, then tune. EDIT: from the book: If you have a bass boost knob or level control knob, set them to the middle of their range. This will allow a slight adjustment up or down t o preference after the gain is set.

    You can not run a standard car battery with an AGM type battery. You will damage your AGM. If your going to run an XS in back I would try and run one up front also. If you cant afford to, just make sure you under the hood battery is of the AGM type.

    Just wanted to say thanks to the guys over at Mechman for producing such a beasty alt for my ride. Some slight modifications were made to my ride to get this thing to fit properly but it was very minor and simple to do. This new alt beats the crap out of the old one. I have to give it up to those guys they know how to make a good product.
