TRD TUNDRA

Recommended Posts

I have a 2005 toyota tundra and it's time to drop the stock speakers. I know almost nothing about mids and highs. I plan on amping them but no idea on power yet looking to spend less then 1000 and I belive the doors have 6.5 and one tweeter in each front door.

I install my brother a pair of Re-xxx 6.5 ruining them 200W Rms each they sound pretty good. You can get them for around $250. Whit a good amp it will sound really decent. Just check for clearance they are big also i think the stock location for the tweeter wont work for the new one.

I got the hertz hsk 165 and they are pretty loud and clean. Sets can be found on amazon from 350-450. They handle 125 rms and are 92db. The tweeters are really smooth and the mids hit pretty decent on the low end, not real deep but pretty strong into the 100 hz range.

everything I've heard about them is extremely positive. Andrew wouldn't put his name on a product if it wasn't good.

personally, I would piece together a setup and do an active front stage but doubt he wants to do that.

a budget of less than 1000 lololol...

I only  because you have enough to drop on a great set of comps and an amp to power them. Is this setup for just daily? or you looking for pure SQ out of it?
