Speakers buzz for about 3 seconds when I open door

Recommended Posts

So i just noticed this today, don't know if it's been going on longer, but if i have my headunit on and open my door then my speakers start buzzing for about 3 seconds and stops. What the heck is making this happen?

Video of buzzing: https://vid.me/YayR

I also have a good amount of alternator whine, but have tried so many things to try and fix it but cant get that gone either.

Should i just go to a shop and try to get them to fix it?

it is a 2004 tahoe if that helps

Redo all your grounds. Grind every point to shiny bright metal and sand lugs too. Reconnect everything as tight as possible. Check back here if problems persist.

what grounds am i grinding down? the ground wires at the headunit are crimped together. I did a separate ground but even with that it had the noise

what have you done so far to get rid of the sound?

that would help eliminate some things

I've tried grounding the headunit to the chassis in multiple spots but that hasnt changed anything, i also got a PAC ground loop insolator and that also hasnt changed anything

Is it coming through all speakers or just the one that you sit next to?

Are you using the passive crossovers that came with the speakers?
