  1. Nice HT dude!!! Despite what anyone says, you still move enough air to do a HT.
  2. Wow!!!! Mechman seems to be on top of the alt kingdom!
  3. How did your surround get damaged if you don't mind me asking.
  4. Regardless of your theory on it, it's still proven to add power. More than you had from the get-go. No, I'm not saying get THAT specific grounding kit. Which is about 8 times over-priced. Knu 4g would be perfect for something like this. Or in the audio world, zero gauge.
  5. Your opinion is that it is bullshit. Acceptable... http://www.importtuner.com/powerpages/0308it_1992_eagle_talon/index.html Read that too about the Hyper Ground System. Your a non-believer. Its funny how you think they were paid to say all this. Oh, let's bet whatever on it. I guarantee its true. If you don;t believe this link, go to the DSM Forums and ask around. You'll believe with your Funky Pups.
  6. If a CEL is on, go to Oreillys/Advance/Autozone and have the code checked. That would drastically pin point the problem. Checking fuel filter would be a start. How is the maint. on the vehicle? Is it maintained? Oil every 3k, Using OE recommended AC Delco spark plugs? When were they changed last?
  7. Wow... What kinda amps/subs/power is running here? Thats awesome!!!
  8. Crazy thing is its true that a better ground system will yield more power in terms of torque/hp. http://caraudiomag.com/articles/hyper-ground-system Any ground wire 4g or better will work. lol at anyone who said its overkill. The extra power is somewhat a help for the extra weight of audio equip. Edit: Besides, most of your guys' motors are a mess anyway. Just saying...
  9. IDK if thats the right cable. There is no pic. and I cross referenced that P/N at gmpartsdirect.com and it didn't have a picture either.
  10. Thats a good idea! Only problem is I can't move the vehicle w/o the cable. lol Thats a good start for sure! I'll have a look around there. Thanks for the P/N, but thats for the cable that runs from the go pedal to the bracket which holds the pulleys. I'm looking through my catalog now. lol Thanks for the idea!
  11. I believe I would still need a part number. I've asked on the S10 Forums but they seem dead. Besides, I would go to gmpartsdirect.com before I ever over pay at a local dealer.
  12. I've consulted the local autostores and they couldn't help me without a part name or number. Every local salvage yard is "fresh outta 2.5L motors." ....Supposedly. Its all thats really holding me back from getting this heap running. lol
  13. Anyone? I need one to fit my 1986 Chevy S10. Motor is outta a 1987 S10. 2.5L 4cyl. I need the cable which is like 3-6" in length that goes from the bracket that attaches the actual accelerator cable to the TB pulley. Anyone know? Or of any Macguyver techniques that would work? lol
  14. I'm gonna try the 75" belt and if it makes any noise or is too loose/tight I'll return it for a diff size. Thanks for the help!
  15. If its electrical it can easily be any of the connecting plugs. Such as behind the dash, at the ECU, etc.. Hope you get it figured out. If messing with connector behind dash don't work try unplugging the connectors from the ECU one at a time to restore good conductivity. Of course make sure you take extra time working at them so you don't ruin anything. Unhooking the negative terminal if your concerned about frying anything. My .02
  16. Vehicle - 1986 Chevy S10. Engine - 2.5L 4cyl. No power steering, No A/C, No 4WD. It's an 86 model year as shown on the VIN and the title. But an 86 belt is a V-type belt. Mine is a 6 rib serpentine belt from 87-90 2.5L motors. (GM like always, go figure.) Is there any website I can go to search and find certain lengths of belts? I believe the one I am searching for is 13/16" wide by 75 1/4" long, 6-rib. The local auto stores don't carry that specific size. They do carry a 13/16" wide by 75" long 6-rib belt, but I'm unsure if that 1/4" will cause noise or be to tight. It does have an auto-tensioner. Any ideas?
