Sorry for your loss bro...but he's in a better place not suffering anymore. Stay tough for your family and holla if you need anything. Kev -
Some of the products due have built in monitoring and guages..where others don't. I'm just being general saying..make sure you have some type of guage to know when your pushing your truck to hard. 1450 is when you are in the danger zone for a diesel..and you'll be surprised at how fast you'll get there when your foot is on the throttle.

Brake Help
str86diesel replied to doughboi916's topic in Engine and Performance - Anything for that couple extra horses!
It seriously sounds like your calipers are either sticking, or you have air entering your braking system. I'd get it into a mechanic and have them inspect the system. Unfortunately, brakes are one thing that you really don't want going out on you. As far as the violent shaking..i've only see and or experienced that when my rotors were warped... -

My vote is "For It" If a person is terminally ill and suffering, it should be their choice. -
I'm not going to bash bully dog..as I know of the co-founders and he's a great guy...but let me just say this. When I was racing...bully dog's products were not putting the power to the ground that others were. Here's what I would do. Go to one of your local 4 wheel performance shops that sells different brands of performance boxes and take each one for a test drive. Normally, all of the performance shops have demo units sitting in the back. Make sure you get the one that you like the best. Me...i'm die hard Edge Products. I have seen their products perform flawlessly and I have seen their products do what they claim to. Also..and I couldn't be more serious about this...if you are serious about putting on any type of aftermarket performance parts...GET GAUGES. Put a boost and pyrometer gauge on your motor so that you know what the motor is doing. Most people don't realize how hot diesels burn and how easy it is over fuel them and burn something up. No Offense..but especially the duramax, as it has a lot of aluminum parts in it..and well aluminum and heat don't really work together very well.

Radar Detectors *help*
str86diesel replied to MAD MATT's topic in Off Topic - Random, Misc posts - the forum "Junk Drawer"
hmm...Cali must use a different frequencies then CO. When I took my high speed driving course me and the instructor (local sheriff) got to talking about radar detectors and not one that he pulled out was 1) able to detect the laser 2) went off after the radar already responded with a speed signal. Our local sheriffs are using a new laser that can not only detect how fast you are going, but they can also measure in milliseconds, how close you are to the car in front of you for tailgating laws. -

The SXT is kind of like the Base Model package, where as the SLT is the mid - fully loaded model. -
Nice EBR's...what brands? About 2 weeks go, I bought 7 Sabre Stripped Lowers..so my winter project is building them Currently I have 2 of them built, both have RRA A4 flat tops. Ones getting an Eotech 552 and the other an aimpoint m3 (now if UPS would drive a little faster). This week I start 1 more, in which as it stands right now will be a 16" 1/7 Chrome middy, DD Free Floating 4 rail system for CQB

Airline Tickets
str86diesel replied to doughboi916's topic in Off Topic - Random, Misc posts - the forum "Junk Drawer"
If your going to the UK...fly out British Airways. They usually have some unbeatable off da hook pricing. My last ticket through United was about 10k, where as via British Airways it was like 2k... -
