What are your batteries sitting at voltage wise in the morning BEFORE you start it up. If they are low or you have a bad batt that will load down the alts and drop your idle.

x2....if it's not that, then it's probably a couple of the speaker wires getting squished together back behind the head unit when its fully seated in the cage or you have a speaker terminal grounding out (if you replaced the stockers, that is). Have you tried to see if it happens with the head out of the dash but still hooked up?

If whatever you're painting has armorall on it.....you're going to have problems. And to top it off the shit is near impossible to get off. I usually wipe the part down with acetone and then use a green pad with some comet to TRY to get it off. Otherwise you will have adhesion problems.
