  1. You may be able to. I don't feel like going through with the hassle. They're yours if you want. Or if anyone else wants them too.
  2. I forgot to add about the waranty. It's up to Rusty weather he wants to waranty them or not. He doesn't care to do so for me because he thinks that I have abused them. I haven't even had these subs for longer than a month and they have NOT been abused. He wants me to pay for a recone for them and I'm not putting anymore money into them. I already had to send my 10's back to him to be fixed because he didn't even glue the dust cap on each of them all the way down. I'm not going to spend anymore of my hard earned dollars to send a sub back to him to fix again. I'm also not going to be told that I'm abusing a product when I know damn well I'm not at all. It would be different if I were some idiot kid in his driveway installing crap, but I'm a MECP advanced certified installer and have over 5 years installing for a living. I think I have an idea if I'm abusing something. Sorry about the rant here I guess I just needed to vent for a second.
  3. Here is a pic of the one sub that I fixed and is in working condition. The other sub will be up on here tomorrow. It will more than likely need to be reconed unless you are good with a soldering iron and have some extra tinsel lead wire laying around.
  4. I'm putting a pic of one of the subs up right now. I will take another of the other sub tomorrow. It just got too dark tonight to do it. I don't have any personal references on here but I do have paypal and that's the only way I will do business. My ebay account I have 100% positive feedback. If your interested I can put the subs on ebay with a buyitnow option if you would feel better about that. I'm putting up the pic that I have now in a minute.
  5. Alright I'm going to list these again. There is an issue with the subs. I have broken tinsel leads on each of the two woofers and attempted to fix them, but have had no luck. They just keep braking where I solder them back together. The coils and cones are still usable if someone could fix them. They are dual 1 ohm with level 5 coil upgrades. I am selling them as is and doing it at a very reasonable price. I paid over $600 for these by the time they were shipped to me. I am looking to get $250 plus shipping out of them as they sit now. I have an email from Rusty stating that recones are $94.99 each. So if someone were to buy the subs for $250 with an average price of $50 to ship and get them reconed they would have two basically brand new subs for around $489 or less depending on me shipping them to you. That is way below the normal cost of these things and someone will be getting a deal no matter what they do, fix them or recone them. I have a couple of pics of them when I took them out of the box when i got them, and I'll put a few more of them up in the condition they are now. I'm looking to get rid of these as soon as possible to help pay for my DD subs that I need to order.
  6. Here's a couple of pics of an install I did in an Escalade EXT, which is the same vehicle. The guy insisted on goin with JL, and I tried to talk him out of it but I couldn't. Oh well, it didn't sound bad at all but it could have gotten alot louder.
  7. Ratbass, there's no sense in arguing with these guys. They'll eat you alive. If I were you I would just drop it and walk away because you aren't going to get anywhere by getting defensive. Trust me, I've been there many times and no matter how hard you try to prove your point it won't matter. But you kind of had it coming when you asked if 2 18's were going to be louder than 1 15. The fact that you are more than doubling the cone area should tell you that it is going to be louder. Even if you are splitting the power between the two. Your also talking about how bad your car is squatting, then why would you want to put the extra weight of 2 18's and a bigger heavier enclosure in a car that is already hurting as it is? Think about stuff before you make a post thats going to get flammed.
  8. I've got one R in the woman's car with 600 or so watts to it and it pounds. If you want the box specs just let me know. The box is ported though, but that would be the way to go any way. The internal airspace is 1.7 cuft and won't be much bigger than a sealed box if size is an issue.
  9. There is a show tomorrow in Wintersiville. It is a L&M Electronics show and I believe that registration starts at 3:00 PM. It costs $25 for bassrace or db drag and $40 for both.
  10. I agree, I also have the 6000ub and it doesn't skip in my ZX3 at all. I'm doing in the mid to upper 140's in the car and the deck takes it all day. I'll know more about the exact score it's taking tomorrow. The built in usb cable is awesome for using a memory stick or ipod with.
  11. The box is tuned higher than the highest freq on the subsonic. Should I just set it to 35 then? The box is in between 36-38hz.
  12. Nice man! When you gonna let me come out and build a pair of subs? Forget moving to North Carolina, I'm moving to Sparks and coming to work for you.
  13. My woman and I also have a Civic. It's a 2004 and it has a single Alpine type R 12 in and off of 800 watts and that thing rattles all to hell. I think that it sounds better when the seats are up because it gives some support to the rear deck. I'm going to add some sound dapening to the car and see if that helps. In your case you have to decide if gas mileage is worth it to sacrifice for louder bass. Imo I say no, but you could trade your car for a hatchback and get the best of both worlds. That's what I did. I had a Ford Escort which had a trunk and I got a Ford Focus ZX3. I put my level 4 12's into the Focus and DAMN! It sounds like a whole new setup compared to the Escort. That is my suggestion to trade in the Civic and get a good hb that also gets good mpg's.
  14. That's bad ass man. I have a Sublime tatoo on my leg, but never thought of putting a mural on one of my boxes. Nice origional idea!
  15. Amazing Audio in Mansfield Ohio. You could try a Columbus Car Audio store, I know they used to have a meter but I'm not sure anymore. You could also try L&M Electronics, I know they have a meter.
  16. The subsonic is set at 25hz, is that a good place to have it? The amp allows the subsonic to be adjusted to 35, should I set it a little higher than 25?
  17. Be careful running those subs off of that amp. I have two of the DC level 4 12's with the level 5 coils running at 1 ohm off of a GP 3000D and I keep running into snapped tinsel leads. I am snapping them, not burning them. If you end up having the same problem, let me know ok. I have a way to fix them and I will let you know about it. I think what's happening with mine is that I have the box tuned to 36hz and when I play them at high volume the subs over extend and pull way too hard on the lead. Becuase the lead is snapping off at where it connects at the terminal. Another reason I think that it is the sub over extending is because the cois aren't even hot at all when I have actually snapped a lead. If I was burning them up I would think that the subs coils would at least be a little hot. I hope this doesn't happen with your setup, but if you run into it don't be surprised. Good luck, and I love my amp I'm sure you will too.
  18. Meade, I have a question for you about my new car. I have a 2002 Ford Focus ZX3 hatchback and 2 DC level 4 12 with 3000 watts to the subs. My question is do you think that I should do the subs up and the port back, the subs and port both back, subs and port both up, or subs foward and port back? This is going to be a bassrace car, but they can get loud so I will do drag for fun. I want it to be loud and I can see tuning it in the 36-39hz range for a bangin daily system. I may change my setup to 2 15's or even a single 18, but I'm going to have to run the 12's for now due to lack of funding. If you could help that would be awesome man! There is a thread on my most current setup in the DC section, but it is in my Escort not my Focus(Just got it today). Thanks Steve
  19. I'm in the market for a single 18" woofer or two 12's. They need to be able to handle 1500+ watts a piece if they are 12's and 3000+ watts if it's an 18. Some of the subs I'm interested in are Fi btl 18, Re mt 18, Audio Pulse Lms Ultra 18, AP axis 18, AP revo 18, T3 audio Tss & TSNS 18, Kicker Solo X 18, Fi bl 12's, T3 Tss 12's, Memphis mojo 12's, Kicker solo X 12's or 10's, almost any sub in the Audio Pulse line, and pretty much any sub in the Digital Designs line. I need to achieve a 1 ohm load at the amp, but I would be willing to run a .7 ohm load at the amp also. If you have anything decent pm me or respond here if you don't mind shouting out the price. Thanks.
  20. Fuck it I would have beat his ass weather he hit me first or not. You don't mow another man's lawn. And as for that bitch I would fuck her mom and video tape it and make sure that she sees it. If she doesn't have a mom then a sister or cousin will work too. But I would probably watch your back too because if you punked that dude out like it sounded your probably gonna get a retaliation soon. I fought a dude three times all over a stupid bitch. We split the first two, then the third and most watched fight I knocked him out with two punches and the cops ended up coming.
  21. Okay, I've changed my mind. I'm just gonna keep these and put them in the new car. Gonna see what I can do to beef them up some more for my tough daily needs. Sorry, but no one was interested anyway so oh well.
  22. I guess if no one is interested I won't bother putting any pics of these up. The resolder on the terminals doesn't effect the performance of these subs a bit. I may just keep them if no one is interested at all. Make me some reasonable offers.
