  1. it can take 8.5 jiggawatts hook up a lightning rod to your roof and run it right into your coils, impedance doesnt matter because clouds do not care, and it is very hard to make them release their magic smoke, but i suppose a lower impedance raises your chances of a ligtning strike. Be sure to run the negative speaker lead right to ground. I dont remember what hz lightning is but i think its something like 39 hz so tune appropriately.
  2. http://www.caribbeanfooddelights.com/faq.htm just nuke em and eat em or if you're lazy like me, hit the sensor reheat button and wait for a beep. If you cook it half way, cut it open, and slide some cheese in there, youre in for a delight pretty sure it'll kill you though, its gotta bea the most unhealthy thing i can think of short of double fried fudge dipped twinkies with icecream centers
  3. that is how it works issue with car audio is that everyone is willing to do that, and unless you have some sort of qualification or history a promise is not enough for a sponsorship. You may be able to save a few bucks and get a homie hook up, but you wont get sponsored. Yet. You kinda have to do something to prove yourself. Like build a car that wins events at spl or sql, or get in a magazine. Or pull a steve meade and get a million views on youtube or something. at the end of the day you have to offer something to the company worth more to them than the products they would give you are.
  4. it will only produce 100hz and below well, most amps have either a 12 or 24 db cut off, if its 24 and you set it to say, 80 hz, everything above 160 is gone, and everything from 80 to 160 has a cut, getting more severe as frequency increases
  5. go google what a farad is, and then do the math and laugh about how useless they are, especially in a high current scenario like you would have. also, a hifonics putting out about 5000 watts will draw in the ballpark of 500 amps, even if you keep your voltage at 14. Now if you were to put 2 or 3 hc2400's in the rear and something under the hood, and dual alts, that would look way meaner than a couple of soda cans with voltage guages
  6. i got it on ps3, and im addicted as hell to it. at like 43 million community kills a new map is unlocked or something, they have plans for expansion but require player participation, which is kinda cool.
  7. Tempon protection from leaking heat, complete with wooden applicator im sorry, i was reading this and was like "oh my god! tempon! its tampon and temperature crossed!"
  8. a brita of water, 2 keystones from idk when, and a tupperware of penne a la vodka my girl made me my fridge is hurt, its getting ready to move this week to oswego
  9. i sell car stereos, which in itself aint anything special, but the town its in is full of crazies and i have a shitton of weird stories.last friday some guy wanted me to install a radio to replace the one stolen from his civic, along with the dash and bezel and brackets. I say ok, where is the radio. He hands me some xplod that literally dripped a cup of water over the seat, and when i point out the fact that its full of water, he just goes " si si the trunk es no es tight, you put a da in da radio?"
  10. a lot of people dont want to tune, they want to see how loud they are. all they want is a baseline, they just want to know where they stack up.
  11. that pioneer is one of the best subs out....scott owens broke some iasca records with that shit doing 180+db if you know what youre doing and that guy will give it to you for 400 bux, build a nice box and wang with a single 12. and obviously dont go by pioneer specs, they're ridiculously off of what you should do.
  12. or get a blackberry, lol my thing legit lasts 3-5 days, even making 10-20 calls a day and a hundred or so texts, and bluetooth always on showing customers how it works with stereos and shit. it shocked me how long it lasts (its a curve 83 series...apparantly the touchscreen one is as bad as the iphone)
  13. just saying, I change something atleast 4 or 5 times a year, and they have the right to re-evaluate you and adjust your rates every time. and you have to go through all the paperwork and hassel every time. if they find out you took something out that you had claimed, they can do some pretty shitty things with your coverage, like denying it all.
  14. over in long island its not unheard of to get 35$ for 2 30second runs....you can recoup your cost from one show, lol def do it, i'd charge like 20 bux for 4 or 5 runs, because you could get that done in a few minutes and at 20 bux, most people would do it on a whim at a car show or something
  15. msrp, but keep in mind that they charge you more the more you claim (and you can claim labor too, but that gets dumb expensive and would require receipts, your time is worthless, professional or not) in some companies its cheaper to buy the shit out of pocket than insure it for a few years. and how often do you change something? you're supposed to notify them of every change.
  16. x2 on derrick, that usually comes up pretty close...most amps are lower though 500amp on a rockford 4000rms amp (although they usually hit 4600-4800) 160amps on my 1500rms amp 75amps on my 600rms amp keep in mind that effeciency drop from low impedance can cause a decrease in output...i've seen a few rockford t3k's do more at 2 ohm than 1, and dont even think about crown amps (which will triple the 1ohm output at 6ohms)
  17. 4th order with those bendy ports thru the rear deck....reloacting the gastank would be a bitch and its not like you have a million places to put it
  18. batcap 8400= 9600 amps at 12-14 volts batcap extreme=more than 4x that
  19. batcap...if you have the money but thats a dumb question to ask...just look at the specs for them, the batcap is like triple what the kinetik does
  20. exactly, i know its a little pricy but the audiocontrol piece is very very high quality and very reliable. I dont think anyone anywhere can say anything bad about what they produce, and if you're worried about sq you might as well use a very well made piece. I'm sure that there is a cheaper one out there, but why scrimp on something that can make such a difference?
  21. use a linedriver http://www.dealercostcaraudio.com/audiocontroloverdrive.aspx it will bump your rca voltage up close to 10 volts, so you can split it a few ways and not worry
  22. i've seen ones as cheap as 85$ that work fine and last a while california hid, maxx, and a couple other no-name ish brands worked really well
  23. measure it while you crank it, sometimes it will float normal and drop to like 5 volts when you crank if its like "clunk.tictictictictic" its usually a bad batt
  24. is it a screen type radio or just a basic cd player? ive seen those gmos's do some funky things with screens when you dont run a relay past them... if the noise changes pitch when you hit the accelerator, its most likely alternator whine and can usually be solved by grounding the rca's to the hu, then the hu to the amp chassis, and then using a common power/ground for both units (do in order until noise stops) if tis just a constant whine, unplug the rca's and plug them in one at a time, testing each one in each input. if you find only one does it, it usually indicates either a bad crossover (obvious that in this case it exists) or a blown speaker...at which point you should pull the speaker and test it further
