you can do that i personally used self tapers from the rear of the door...has held on fine for a year or so now with constant slamming doors/roadtrips/drunk girls/potholes

x2 on roscoe some amps (like the newish orion hcca's) arent fused, and require the power lines going into the amp to be fused, in a case like that, i'd fuse the line between rear batt and amp (if it was just front batt and amp, it would get a fuse underhood near the batt, and one in rear near amp, preferably no more than a foot from each) only time i'd just do a fuse on a fused amplifier between a rear batt and the amp is if the line was long enough I could see it shorting out. basically in an accident...my car doesnt have one, and the power line basically runs from the front of my trunk to the back, but its in a trunk and not like its going to get pinched anywhere.

$70 amps and 1ohm dont mix well single 20amp fuse tells me it does maybe 200 watts rms (bridged, 4ohm) maybe 250watts max (with high voltage in your car)...and thats giving it benefit of the doubt cuz its a boss if youre using this for highs, like someone said before the infinity 475a is a great (and cheap) amp if you were going to use it for subs, let us know how much power you need and im sure someone will link you to an amp that can do waht you need

i personally wouldnt run anything at a half ohm daily, but thats just me (effeciency drop, extra heat, and current draw are not worth the extra couple of watts you get)

well that or real hid's either way, they can ticket you for having anything besides standard 3500k halogens, silverstar's/zenon/xenon/superwhite/colored/hid headlight bulbs arent technically legal since the DOT never approved them (besides OEM ones that went through special DOT approval) atleast last i checked.....sylvania is a big enough company to get themselves some approval though

xenon is usually a normal, yellow, 3500k bulb with a blue filter and yes they heat up, and yes they draw extra current to put out the same amount of light (because the filter to make it blue cuts down on output) normal halogen bulbs are 1000-1200 lumens (xenon is a normal bulb with a filter, the inert gas filling them doesnt change the color, since the filament is radiating the energy) hid's are in the 3000-3200 lumen ballpark (at like 4300k, dropping off on either side)

to be honest, going from like 1500 to 3500 watts is maybe 3db gain. and its going to triple demands on electrical and thermal capacities of the woofers. feel free to try it, but I would reccomend it for daily because of the heat issues with the amp, and the current issues with supplying near 400amps of current to a hungry amp
