I like my MK5 Jetta. In the process of putting 4 10's in the trunk right now. But for under 10k, I would look into either the mk4 Jetta, or golf. GTI's are fun, but you have to remember, they are a turbo car and need 91 octane fuel. I would look into trying to find the TDI Jetta or golfs. They get great gas milage.

Ill be going, but still upgraded system less. Should be a fun show. Hang out with people that I haven't seen in awhile.

Nice, love that body style jetta. Actually went to the dealership for the mk4 body style jetta, and they told me they couldn't get me financing for it, but I could get financing for the Mk5 jetta instead. So now I drive a MK5 and love it. Nice equipment also, should bang nicely. Plus for those cars is the back seats fold all the way flat.

Its a nice car that is for sure. If your looking at a double din, and dont need a cd/dvd slot, and just want the ipod connection, I would looking into a Alpine IXA-w407. That is what I am planning on putting into my car when I can get the funds for one.

Uh, even though its just a hole in the box, it still has a tuning btw. What do you think regular ported boxes are? They are boxes with holes that happen to have wood to help direct air flow. Using the12volts.com calculator with a port being 10x10 with approximately 25 cubes of space (after all displacements) I get a port length of .5". He is using 3/4" mdf, so in actuality his tuning is probably lower. Now if he was to use a bigger port opening then he would need some wood to create a longer port. If you don't believe me, go to www.the12volt.com and put the dimensions that I used and you will see for your self.

Tank came out great. Could have just left it alone and put beauty panels on it instead of bondoing and painting. Your going to to a carputer correct? If so, can you send me the specs on the computer or a link and the type of screen also please. I have a 06 jetta and still debating if I want to do a carputer or go with a alpine ixa-w407. Try this real quick. Take some wire, and strip off about 3 inches of wire, and wrap it around the subs rca on the HU side, and ground it to the chassis of the radio.

Never did xc, but always ran for baseball. My best mile was in College while playing, and that was a 6.31 (was supposed to be done in under 6.30). I can sprint, and do 'some' long distance. Can do the 40 in 4.7, 60 in 7.0, and the 100 right around 12. Not the quickest by any means, but reasonable times I think.

Yea its pretty much a dry heat out here. I know where I'm at its 100 with about 30% of humidity. Being in Hollywood in the middle of things is great and all, but some times you need to go to the sub burbs to get an idea how life really is.
