  1. It is always worth it to save your money so I say DC lvl 3 12". And if you want your box to be right for your woofers you gotta make it yourself or have someone custom make you one and make sure they know what they are doing
  2. You could try lapping it. Did you have the case laying flat when you mounted it? Sometimes if you do it standing up the heatsink will get out of place and make poor contact.
  3. It would be much more cost effective to just get the bxi2010d and wire it all down to 1ohm.
  4. Yeah but 2,600 is too much for both of those subwoofers, it would probably be better to get 2 amps that do 900ish @2ohms. Kenwood has an amp that is 900rms at @2ohms and it is very cost effective. My friend has one and it is a great amp. Or just get the hifonics 2010d and that would be perfect and probably cheaper than 2 amps.
  5. This website will teach you a lot, you can enter in all your information and it will make the calculations for you basically. http://www.the12volt.com/caraudio/boxcalcs.asp
  6. Depences on the amp you choose, if you get a dvc you will need an amp that will give you the correct rms at your ohm load. I have a dvc 2ohm and it is wired parallel to give me 1ohm load but if wired in series will give you a 4ohm load. Since at 1ohm I find an appropriate amp that is 1ohm stable that will give me the correct rms for my application
  7. you gotta look at the 2ohm rms then because when you wire them they will have a 2ohm impedence
  8. Indeed The next build I do I am thinking about 2 18" DC lvl5 like chode... or maybe just get a 2nd BTL 18" lol but he should do DC for usre
  9. Yeah there are like 3 shows, I wish they would space them out so more peopel could show up
  10. XL! if you are even thinking about more power now, you will want more in the future for sure
  11. that is pretty sexy, DC woofers look damn good, I guess next I will be getting a lvl5 =D
  12. Oh yeah I love when people do that. haha I am just like ORLY? pull up closer and crank that bass!! Man my neighbors are gonna be pissed when I am done with my new build haha!
  13. I don't know anything about that laptop but I know because it is Alienware that it is a great computer and should be able to dominate everyday computing and then some!
  14. I think it would just be much smarter to wait and not buy the type r's. That way you don't lose that money and lose money on the resale. =D
  15. only 1 bump a day. graphical chipset errors? lol The internal connection to the screen has a problem of some sort. That is waht I think if you can connect a secondary and the vga port display is fine.
  16. Yeah the specs look great but the whole question here is if it is over rated, under rated, falls apart, bomb shelter build, SQ. Well I was just reading about it and some people said it was crappy and goes into protection mode. Which if you look at that spec sheet it says 1,500x2 @1ohm which is kinda a weird way to rate it? instead of x1 which may be why people have protection mode problems? I also just read that the SQ is bad but it just has good power.
  17. Dang that ap30001d looks pretty good but I haven't read any reviews on it just yet
  18. You gotta line the roof with sound dampening!
  19. I ordered a single fully loaded 18" BTL and several of my payments were reversed and some confusion at paypal but one did go through. I emailed Scott back and forth and he spoke to his paypal people and sorted everything out. He called me on my cell phone and spoke to me on the phone confirming my specs and order. I was kinda stressed at first thinking I had lost my money in transaction but I was glad to actually speak to him on the phone without having to call him a hundred times. I was all tired going into work but when I saw that 702 number pop up it really turned my day around! Thanks scott for taking my emails, getting back to me quickly, and taking the time to speak to me on the phone. For being as busy as they are I am very surprised and happy with the level of customer support I received!
