  1. I have 4 slightly used 4" aeroports for sale. They are uncut and come the full 18" long. They were never actually used just put into a box that I built that I've never got around to testing out. I no longer have a use for them so I figured that I'd sell them. They have some JB Weld on them that I will clean off of them when I sell them. Price for 1 shipped is $20 Price for all 4 shipped is $65 I know there are quite a few of you out there that have been wanting to try out some flared ports so here's your chance to get some of mine that I'm not going to use. I may have 6 more 4" ones available here very soon too once I do a new daily box for my car. I also have 3 Knu Konceptz triple 0 guage battery terminals for sale. I have 2 negative terminals and 1 positive all in great condition. I have the extra negative one because my screw for the negative stripped out and I couldn't find a screw to replace it so I ordered another terminal. The second negative one is missing the screw and will be completely functional if someone could get a screw for it. Otherwise the other two terminals are in perfect working order. $15 each for the negative and positive plus shipping $8 for the negative one missing the screw plus shipping I really don't need to get rid of this stuff it's just been sitting in the garage for awhile. If you have an offer pm me and I'll check it out.
  2. Looks nice Derrick! You guys gonna have it finished this week or next?
  3. Thanks! Since I didn't post the new score that I'm doing here for a couple of reasons pm me and I'll tell you what my new high score is with one 15 and two Sundown 2000d's with everything located in the hatch. It's pretty damn impressive if you ask me. I'll post the numbers up in my spl box build page after next weekend which is NSPL finals. Got to keep it on the DL for now even though some people might know cause it could have slipped out.
  4. Check out Ebay. You can find people selling used Alpine decks all day long for under $100 shipped. I just saw a 9884 go for $87 shipped yesterday. You probably won't find a better price anywhere else. I recently got a used 9831 which is a top of the line model from 5 years ago on Ebay for $46 in perfect working condition. A good way to try and get a deck cheap is to message the seller and ask them how much they would like to sell if for on a buyitnow. They can only do this if there are no bids on it though. Try it out, you'll find a deal!!!
  5. I know that you guys all know how badass Damplifier Pro is but I thought there would be at least more than 1 comment. I mean I used 3 of the sheets on my rear fender wells and gained .4 db on my spl score. That's some serious shit. I'd love to see what I do when I get some more of this stuff in my car. I bet that I can gain a db more or better with some more. Ant we need to talk. Everytime I get on your site it fucks up my computer and I can't navigate it. It's the only site that I get on that does it. I'm going to email you for some prices on some more deadener. Thanks!!!!!
  6. If this is any help to you I run a pair of 2000d's which probably have a little bit more current draw then a 3500. I run 2 XS Power D3100's in the rear and a single Deka Intimidator G34 up front. I sit at 14.6 idle and drop down to 11.9 on a full tilt burp. I only have the stock 110 amp alt though so I know that has a bit to do with it, but everything that Gary and DJ said is true and should probably be considered. I know that it's a bitch to spend all that money on electrical but it will prolong your equiptment and you will thank yourself in the long run for it. Not to mention that it will sound better and will be louder too.
  7. Here is my Damplifier Pro install that I've been waiting to put up for a few weeks. I did the install at my buddy's house and forgot my camera there. I finally drove back to his house this past week to do some testing and get it back so I got my pics to show you guys how well this stuff works. Thanks Ant for the Awesome product. I'll be ordering more here very soon. I have faith in your deadener that I have never had in any other company's product. It helped me gain some spl in my car as well as reduce vibration!!! Here's a comparrison between the Damplifier Pro and some crappy Elemental Designs Edead. Edead: Damplifier Pro: Do I even have to tell you which one of these dampeners is better? If you can even call Edead a dampener. It's more like duct tape with some butyl rubber on one side of it. What I decided to do with my Damp Pro was put some around the 5X7 plates that I have that house a 6 1/2 in my doors. This helped out quite a bit on the sound by stopping a vibration that happened when the speaker hit the plate. I also put some more on the doors where the top of the door panel is since there wasn't any deadener there at all. I'm going to eventually take all the Dynamat off the doors and replace it with Damplifier Pro. I am really excited to see how much spl that would add since it's clearly a superior deadener. Just wait til later in the thread when I reveal how much only 3 sheets of the Damp Pro added in spl!!! Here are the before pics of my passenger door: A couple shots of the Damp Pro applied: Here is the driver's side door with the same exact application: With the Damp Pro on the door: Now on to the spl gain I got from only doing the rear fender wells of my car. We were testing my car when I first put my spl box into it. We took off each of the rear carpet panels and put a single layer on the wheel well. We did the first one where the port fires into and gained .2db right off the bat. Those of you that compete know how much that is to gain from something so little. Next we did the other wheel well and gained another .2db. So overall we gained .4 db from adding the Damplifier Pro. There were only 3 sheets used on these rear fender wells and I can't believe how much spl was gained. Wheel well pics before and after: Before: After: I've tried other deadeners and NEVER had the results that I've had with the Second Skin product. I plan on redoing the doors in the car and also giving the roof a shot with the Damp Pro too. I may get enough to do the spare tire well also since I already have some of that other crappy Edead in there now. Thanks Ant for the great product. I give it a 10/10 in all areas. I'm glad you let me try it with not a lot of money involved ($16.00 for shipping) I've been skeptical before and probably wouldn't have spent the money to try it out. You've got a customer for life now!!!!!!
  8. Happy birthday Vince! Did you get the Nightshade that you wanted for a gift?
  9. Please tell me that your going to get rid of some of those subs and just run one size and model. You should know better than to do that.
  10. Not true, that amp will put out a clean 3500 at .5 ohms on good electrical. There are test results on Termpro if you want to see them. I have my own test results of it on .5 nominal rising to 1.26 reactive and making 2800 watts with a voltage drop to 11.9 volts. If you can keep that voltage above 13 on a burp hello 3500 watts. This was with the gain set a little above 3/4 and no bass boost off of a 2 volt preout deck. That is why the gain had to be set so high. They are strong amps and will put out power if you can keep voltage going into them. On the other hand whoever said IA is an upgrade over Sundown is crazy! First of all the amps are made in the same factory. Second of all Jake from Sundown and Nick from IA will tell you that neither of their amps are better than the other. They are good friends and both of them make a very nice product. I wouldn't say that one is better than the other at all, I'd love to own both and I do love my Sundown
  11. I disagree, 40.5sqin of port for 3.5 cuft of box is just fine. That comes out to be 11.57sqin per cuft and regardless of what people say with the 14-16sqin per cuft it's not completely true. Lower port area boxes work very well. My team captain has a Cavy with 2 15's and under 40sqin of port and he puts up 153's on the TL sealed at the dash all day long. Port area is box dependant. If the box were huge and only had 11.57sqin per cuft it may be a different story, but since it's smaller and for a daily driving application it will be just fine with that amount of port area.
  12. For that year Eclipse sub up and port back works very well for daily driving. It will be your best combination of woofer/port for listening.
  13. They reduce turbulence and allow the airflow to exit the box in a much smoother transition. They are a db louder than a slot port in most cases.
  14. There is a dude on here name Machado something from Puerto Rico that makes flared ports. Find his flared port topic and hit him up with a pm or just ask the question there.
  15. I need to get anywhere from 15-20 feet in one run of 1/0 guage wire. I'm looking for something along the lines of Kicker, Stinger, Knu Kolussus, Tsunami, Monster, or even Xscorpion. I like the cable with at least 4200 strands of wire or it's really not worth it. It doesn't have to be the super flexable stuff as long as it's OFC and in one piece. It can have ring terminals at each end cause that's what's going to go on there anyway. If no one has any that they want to sell I'll probably just order a piece from Knu for around $60 shipped. Thanks for looking and sell me yo wirez!!!
  16. In Ohio where my car has plates from yes they are required. In North Carolina where I live no they are not. I just don't want to get NC plates because my window tint is too dark to pass inspection and it costs like $250 to get them when I pay $38 for Ohio tags.
  17. That makes no sense at all. Is there anyway that you can take a video of it happening and testing the wire so that us visual learners can see what's going on?
  18. Boo, damn biased opinion coming from you Jake. J/k, I'm not surprised at all. Just to do so you should put up some test results once the batts charge back up and show the people what the amp will make in a FAIR comparrison instead of giving yourself a handicap.
  19. Hey I'm sure that Vic's dog is pretty too Maybe he can get her to pose with his brand of audioz when it comes out
  20. It's not, it's just better to have the diagram right there when doing it. I just strapped my amps for the first time about a month ago and I had to have the manual in the car when I was doing it to make sure it was done right.
  21. In your 1500d manual. It's very easy though. All you need to do is take some 8 guage and run it from the -'s on each amp to one another. Then take a single channel of an rca and run it from the Br in on the master amp to the Br out on the slave amp. Make sure the rca's are in the input on the master amp. Then you use the + terminals from the mater amp as the + wire for the subs and you use the + terminals from the slave amp for the - wires to the sub. You better look at a diagram though.
  22. Yes, the master amp is the only amp that you use the controls for. That's why it's so nice to strap a pair of amps. On the other hand if you wanted to run one per coil you could unhook the sub wire from each amp. Then play a 50hz test tone at your max listening volume and find the AC voltage using a dmm with the + from the meter in the + from the amp and the - from the meter in the - from the amp. Let's say that your getting 47.6 volts AC out of the 1500d at your max listening volume. You won't be able to know if the signal is clipped so you'll have to use your best judgement when listening to it to determine if it sounds like shit. Anyway now you need to do the same thing with the other amp and set it to the same 47.6 volts. This is called gain matching and is much better when you can use an O-scope to see if the signal is clipped. I can tell you though if you have all your eq settings to flat and don't go ape shit on the volume 47.6 volts out of an saz1500d is not going to be a clipped signal. Also do not use the bass boost at all!!!
  23. Haha, the AQ3500 looks tiny comparred to the saz3500. Who says size doesn't matter?
  24. Take it slow then. It's whatever makes you feel comfortable. I just know what it's like to lose a good woman and it sucks. I'm sure that there are several guys on this site that can tell you about just that. The sex thing is nice, but it's not the only thing in the world. Any married couple will tell you that. It is true once you with someone for such a long time you don't have sex as often or at all in some cases. It's definately something to rush into, but maybe something to keep on the back burner and think over from time to time. Talk to her and see what her plans and goals are. Also use a fucking condom!!! Lol, if she loves you enough she will wait until you guys are ready. I guess if she does leave she probably isn't worth it, but I've always hated looking back and regreting something that I did and is why I feel the way I do.
