  1. Also make sure you Catalytic converter isnt getting cloged we had a guy come into the shop I work at said his floor was getting really hot, walked up to the car and could see a glow from his undercarrage, his converter was clogged and building up excessive heat, and was cherry red, it could of caused his carpet to catch fire if it got too much hotter. Though this may not be your problem never hurts to be sure, also you live in a state that has inspections so they would catch that in a flow test.
  2. The ETA is the end of August, sorry dont know how fast you need the amp here is the link to the Topic on this forum. http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/ind...showtopic=45955
  3. I will let yall do the diagrams for tonight LOL, I have done 2 already.
  4. That sounds like a good idea. Edit: What amp is gonna be powering them, from what I can see you are gonna need multiple amps. Actually no you dont if you can find an amp that wont mind a possible .8 ohm load you will be fine if you get the Dual 4 ohm models.
  5. Ya that probably wouldnt be very good, I like to have about 5-6 inches of clearance in front of my ports. I say do 9 12's of the same sub, just take off the last far right row of 3, then you will have that area for a port
  6. I also know what you mean, my buddy didnt ask for my help and I looked at his set-up not a fuse to be found 8 guage connected to the battery via mashing it under the connection to the post, ran out the hood through the door opening(where the door closes) ran on top of the carpet, to his amp(some off brand 2000 watt amp) it was sliding around the trunk floor, then grounded with 12 guage speaker wire to the trunk lid via wedging it in one of the holes with a screw, all powering a pair of Xplods, Hah beat that. That weekend I helped him redo everything alot cleaner and alot safer.
  7. It should probably go in off topic, but anyways I know what you are saying, some people are just too stubborn to ask for help, and I hope that he takes you advice about the wiring he should at least have 8 guage for 500 watts, but 4 guage wouldnt hurt, cause everybody ends up upgrading LOL.
  8. Glad to see things looking up for you, also blowthrough FTW.
  9. Then I pick the 10's, especially if there is 12 of them, and I am sure there are people on here that will help you design a box as well as the bracing needed for the box. Edit: So for 12 10's you would need a 12 cubic foot box, 1 per sub, what vehicle are you putting this in?
  10. This^^^^^^^^^^ and I think sonicelectronics has recone kits but they are like 230 bucks a pop
  11. Oh ok then, I see what you are saying I thought the stocker was under the hood. Then what you have will work fine, as far as the 250A fuse im not sure, well good luck with the set-up, and I am really surprised no one else on the forum chirped in on this.
  12. Is that how you have it? Personally I would go from Alt to the Upfront battery then to the kinetic then to the amp. But thats just my Opinion and how I run my stuff.
  13. I was just wondering cause if the alt. isnt connected to the Stock battery how is that battery gonna keep your car running/start it.
  14. So the total power to all the woofers will be 2000 watts? what sub brand are you planning on going with, sorry just would like some more info before I vote.
  15. That means you can fit the box much easier through the seat opening(Usually), you should have no problem fitting either set-up.
  16. You beat me to it, I was just about to say 8000 members, but I guess only you can say Validated with it LOL.
  17. I meant the small square was the alt LOL, I was just trying to make a line to the bubble. I usually try to put a fuse after the power sources, so that way if excess current is pulled then the fuse will blow before your wire catches fire.
  18. Do the seats fold down?? Either way you should be able to fit the proper sized box for the 12 easy, I am not sure about the 10's though, never used 10's. Edit: I agree with fis10 the SSD's will better utilize the power you have available.
  19. Well I just looked at the link and it looks like the Sundown 3500d is 850 dollars shipped to the continental U.S., here is the link to the site. http://www.sundownaudio.com/presale/
