  1. you did something very wrong to melt the coils... not only do i think its not possible to actually melt the coils but you fry the sub on 1500 rms is suprising since i had a AQ 2200 on one @ 1ohm and even for the hell of it one time clipped it for awhile to see if i could get it smelly and not even smelly!
  2. Same horsepower motor just the BTL has better cooling
  3. IIRC thats a trunk car... I see issues here one being he may not have the air flowing properly. 2 they box needs to be bigger i'd say about 4 cubes at 29-32hz and about 14.5sq inches of port per cube and if he cant fit that he needs a smaller sub and amp setting will deff affect it and the and the amp quality and head unit quality too
  4. flip? sorry im a with cameras and computer stuff
  5. come on guys i know all you ppl got some nice stuff
  6. Well like the title says what camera do you use for your videos? are you ahhpy with it? whats the fps rate? how does it pick up the clarity of your mids? Im looking to get a nice budget camera. Thanks, Boomer
  7. do you mean charge to 16volts or do you mean a 16volts system?
  8. old or new 3500's?
  9. If i had order (not enough money ) I wouldn't mind the wait. 1. It was a pre-order and things can happen. 2. IT IS DONE IN HOUSE!! so important I would would know what I order is made and from USA!
  10. Hmm i still cant figure out why I always trust Fi and AA yet lol (add the bow down smiley )
  11. it'll prob put out about 80rms but i'd just go with which ever is cheapest. you can also look into powerbass i love mine
  12. dont they have a preset eq? im not to familiar with tuning a RF amp
  13. not a problem man there will be gain, bass boost, HPF, and LPF. 1. Do NOT turn the bass boost up leave that at 0 2. the hpf is what your going to be using. Its a guessing game from here on out unless you have an O-Scope. for your 6.5's i'd suggest turn the dial till its at about 65-75hz, this will start to cut out the frequencies below this point. For the 5.25's i'd personally guess about 100hz or a little higher. 3. Next is the gain do this for each set of speakers at a time tune one then unplug them and tune the other set. If you listen carefully you'll realize when you've reached your speakers limits and you'll hear distortion its when the music become unclear and has more of a harsh sound to it. also if you see your speakers moving to much either turn the gain down or turn up the hpf. since you are still noobish(no insult meant) i'd suggest turning both down slightly. 4. Once you've done this for both speaker hook both sets up and see how they sound and do any final adjustments that you feel are needed and when tuning the sets one at a time play a wide variety of songs because some songs have a stronger signal then others and will cause some songs to sound horrible and some to sound great. Any other questions feel free to PM me
  14. 1. I hate these threads. It just gets rediculous with nut huggers 2.How much power do you have to play with? your goals? your space?
  15. there is no reason you have to use all the power of the amp so like stated before dont turn the gain up as much and then you'll be fine and wont give the speakers the max power of the amp
  16. x2 you asked for opinions and he gave it to you. He wasn't rude, he didn't call you like a dumbass or stupid he just said he wouldn't. I agree with him and n8 155 isn't cheap at all for what your buying. I saw a video of deep hitter truck and i wasn't impressed at all really. I think it would be a waste of your time. Buy some decent stuff and you'll be way happier. you get what you pay for man.
  17. IIRC from talking to Nick i dont think they can bottom out the tinsel or the spiders will break first. and the BTL only has 28mm of xmax with the HiXm coil. The standard coil only allows for 18mm but you'll be fine just make sure your box in mounted ver well
  18. it was slowed down N8....by Nofearx18!
  19. I know where you got that song lol
  20. i'd recommend a different back battery for you. also what music do you listen to? and do you like flat or peaky boxes?
  21. ok first answer these questions and i think we all might be able to help you out more: 1.What vehicle? 2.What is your electrical? can you feed that amp? 3.Whats your budget? (doesnt seem to be small) 4.What are your goals? SPL? Daily ground pounder? 5.Whats your experience level?
  22. you have a bad ground some where.. do you have your ground going over your RCA's?
  23. Thats what im going into.. Ill be going back to school after the military. I like physical work and it fits perfect for me. also someone said nursing. As for around here where i live its not a good career to go into because the hospital that paid to train ppl cant even hire them once of school because they cant afford to pay them. It;s really awful.
  24. dang i din't know glock wasn't good i've shot them alot of times and haven't had issues. Thanks for informing me
  25. To do it right you need an O-scope and yes they can be expensive. The next best way is to use a DMM and watch the AC voltage from your output on your amp to roughly tune your amp for its "rated" power
