the Sundown amps are solid powerhouses that make their RMS power at 12 volts, going to 14.4 increases what you will see from the amp. That is one of the main things I like about Sundown and they also have the best customer service, Jacob will not allow you to be unhappy with his products
I know that if not one this site there is a test where ibanender (Sean B.) tested (I think both the 1500D and the 3000D) he did 14-16 volts and Sundown amps are amazing.
First let me start off by saying that I know this is more of an enclosure question but I figured you guys would be more helpful to me. I am getting ready to order my Z15's and the maximum amount of space I can use in the trunk of my Camry is 17.5 x 40 x 20 (which should give me about 6.5 cubes), Jacob said that should be fine but I am curious about designing an enclosure for these things. I like ported enclosures but am not quite sure which direction to take as far as designing this thing. I would much rather take the design plans and have someone build them than to go to a shop and let them "guess" at what would sound right, Thanks!
I have seen the test done numerous times and I have never watched a sub last that long, as a matter of fact I have witnessed many "high end" subwoofers go up in smoke rather quickly. I told you guys Jacob was one of those kids that liked to blow s--t up. I bet his quest now is to build a sub that he can actually blow up.
Running two different amps will cause more problems than they are worth, James is right, I would downsize to just two 12's, maybe then you could sell the others and get something more towards what you want. Patience is a virture

We must have the same surround sound system because I have that exact same remote control
With running 6k watts for just bass alone, I would definitely get a bigger alternator because unless you do alot of parking lot pimping, 2 batteries in the trunk isn't going to help much. I know everyone else here says Optima Yellow tops but I have a Carquest NGK battery under the hood and I have never had a problem with it.
