    What he means is there are different issues involved than just trading subs and/or boxes out. Not all subs are the same, not all boxes are the same, etc. If everything were identical as far as power, enclosures, etc. the 18" should get louder but it may not be the case. What are you trying to achieve?

    Well I'm getting ready to start a winter rebuild for next season. System for 2011 will be (4) Sundown Audio SA-12's with the aluminum coils, (2) SAZ-1500D's (unstrapped), 180 amp alternator, a Deka Intimidator 9A31, in the trunk. I haven't decided yet on the enclosure but it will be ported probably tuned to around 30Hz. For now I will start repping with this decal that Derrick made, thanks man I love it

    BTW, I used to own Kicker SoloBarics and Memphis subs and they can't compete. I spent less than 2K for all of it

    I have an 01 Camry and I run 2 12" Sundown Audio SA-12's with a SAZ-1500D and it sounds great. With that setup I have lost my spoiler and sometimes I can get my windshield to shake (a little bit)

    The alternator is what powers your car and the accessories. It will provide a SMALL amount of charge for a battery, but it's not a dedicated battery charger.
