um?.... so the gain has nothing to do with the amp? how is that? It depends on your rca pre out voltage, the gain is not a volume knob.

I'm selling a used kenwood excelon kdc-x492, I bought the head unit around 3.5 years ago for 170. I'd say SAX 100.4, I'm using the SAX 50.4 to run active which has a similar crossover and it works great.

I would look into the Fi Q, Icon, and Havoc. Some great sounding subs from what I have read about them.

They would definitely handle the power he wants to run but also cost close to double his budget.

If you have to get 2 12s with that budget I would suggest 2 obsidian audio OA 12s.

I am selling a lightly used JL 13w3v3-2ohm that was installed for around 2 weeks. edit: priced lowered to 165 shipped for the sub price now dropped to 150 shipped.

If your power wire from batts to amp are only a few inches then I wouldn't fuse them.

I would suggest knu konceptz speaker wire.

are these amps designed like some of the newer sundown amps to do most of their power at 1ohm?
