    Went through my decaf collection and that bassorcist song you played drops to 27hz and the hoe hits that note with authority

    What tone did you use to set gains? If you used 50hz@0db then it is definitely too low. Go over to the tunes section and go in decaf's thread and download his -4.6db gain setting tone.

    x2, only sub he can get from dc for under 200 is a lvl 3 and we both know how that compares to an SA series

    Another problem I see is setting the gains with a dmm, when I tried doing it that way the gain always ended up being WAY too low after comparing how much I could safely turn it up with a DD1.

    It has to do with how music is recorded I believe (-15db, -10db..etc) A LOT of songs are recorded louder than -15db especially decaf. So you may not be clipping at -15db but if you play a song louder than -15db you will be clipping.

    I've heard a few people say the lvl 4s don't like 1500+ so they just upgraded to XLs also what track did you use to set the gains?
