My dad has it. I like it. After the adjustment period to using a clicking, spinning, and d-padded joystick, it is relatively simple to use. All the premier series HUs I've looked at were like $50 more for an extra year warranty. Maybe it was just the models I was comparing, but what is the difference between the Premier line, and the standard like model in Pioneer's standard line? They are legit as in you will get your stuff, but they aren't an authorized seller, so you won't get a warranty.

Slight thread jack. What exactly is BL? Like fs is the free air resonance, what does the BL represent? Is there a topic where there is a list of what everything is? Search doesn't like short words.

Do you mean like one channel on one set of coils, and the other on the other set?

You can't. Even if you bring it down some, the peaks will still be clipped. See this post for further explanation: Clipping EDIT: Unless you mean actually removing the clipped portions, but then you would be out of over half the song.

I heard the CD on IMEEM. It's decent. Not really loving it though. That song had a weird response from me. At first I hated it. Then I couldn't get enough of it. Now I hate it again. But like I said earlier, there's no denying that his music is loud.

IIRC, they are a brand new model. Either way, I haven't seen a price that goes much lower than 490-500. There may be a place on the internetz, but I haven't found it.

It does have three sets of preouts. I was looking at them for the longest.

If the room isn't super big, and you are willing to sacrifice some audio quality, go with the Z-5500. It isn't bad sounding, but it won't compete with a good receiver and decent bookshelves. The one thing I wouldn't get is the home theater in a box. Everyone I've talked to that knows home theater doesn't really like them. The main reason being if a speaker goes, they normally use proprietary connectors, so you can toss the whole bundle in the trash and get a new one.
