i agree. to many people see the youtube pages and jump on the bandwagon with no idea what they are doing i started out with a 500 watt system. i have worked my way up over the years to 3 and 4k but there is no way i would have attempted them back then without knowing what i know now noobs need to slow down these days EDIT: not calling james or A team noobs btw (they know more than me) -
6.47 cu ft, 35hz, 100.5 sq in port for 1x 18" XL

both. too much bass boost can cause clipping, not enough input voltage, bad signal from your source, gains set to high, or any combination of those put together. -

think of clipping as massive distortion. it makes ALOT of heat and will toast any sub if you don't know what you are doing. you could blow that sub with 1000 clipped watts easily. so you better be damn sure that those "2500" are clean as hell. you will be probably only see 2200 out of the AQ and i would suggest finding someone with an oscope to set up your amp properly here is somewhat of a guide to give you a better idea http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/ind...?showtopic=4382 -

i watched it in IMAX 3D last night. it was pretty good. got to the movie a little late and had to sit in the very front row. i think my brain boiled last night from how intense it was sitting that close. good movie though. -

goody gumdrops. there are gonna be some happy people in a few days. -
if you were planning to spend 3-4 hundred anyway then the Audioque 2200 at 4 ohms would be great for you since you will have alot of untapped power if you want to upgrade later.
