i bet you can hear the button clicking. you are not going to be able to hear the actuator engaging from inside the cab.

the actuator is located on the pass side of the front drive shaft. have someone push the button while you lay on the ground and see if you can hear it. I did mine nad it took about 10 minutes tops.

like i said the front usb makes them look like shit to me. almost like it was an afterthough. Ill pass on that.

4wd actuator. piece of cake to do 85 bucks for the part or so.

oh this is in my daily driver. It was in the price range that you are looking at and would suggest checking with audiosavings. I looked at the kenwood clarion and pioneer and settled with the kenwood out of those three.

Its ok. does what i want plays all media and is easy to use. nice clean look and responsive touch screen. can add nav and bluetooth. What I dont like is that I cant play video off usb and that it is sometimes slow to respond to changing album artwork in between songs. I usually just stick my ipod in the glove box and throw it on random if its loading the artwork it can be a little slow. usb is a little slwo sometimes too. do need a cable for ipod use and does not come iwth a remote. its easy to bypass as well screen looks great for video but at that price point they will all look the same.

front mounted usb is gay. that is all. I lookeded at the 3200 and 4200 and that ruins it for me. went with the kenwood ddx-516

might wnat to factor in the aftermarket head unit harness too. its about a hundo.

Meguiars High endurance is the best shit ever... is all I use. Im sure htere is something better but for the cost to performance ratio its great.

I think I know what you have in mind but please share. I can get some 1/8" aluminum angle at home depot and build an insert the help keep the fabric down. you nailed it. polish it up predrill it with the drill press and you can probably have it powder coated or even use that metalcast paint to accent it off. can even get some black head fasteners to further accent it if you wanted to.

CJ one issue you may run into is that youll find the port velocity pulling that vinyl up around the edges of the port. its gonna move a lot of air for sure so it can happen. With your metal handiwork I may have an idea that can help you let me know if you are interested i was planning on doing it with mine but illshare.

It doesnt take nearly as much power to be loud. You have to remember coming on here and seeing these builds that are being done are mostly people with a sick obsession. lol. 140 is a loud daily driver 145plus is a stupid loud daily driver and anything ove 150 is maniacal. 2 12s a nice box and 1500 watts can get you close to that 145 range.
