DD recommends 1 cube tuned to 40 for daily usage. I have no idea what your durango peaks at though. Im designing a box right now for 2 1508s for daily usage 2 cubes common chamber, tuned to 36 hz with 32 sq in of port. There is alot of talk about just how much these things like the juice. people running 1000 rms to them daily and burping with 4kw. Im going to try and put about 1500 total on them although I do have some orion 2500ds to smack them up for a bit. hhehehehehehe

the ear o meter is often very wrong. I had a single re XXX 15 in my car that would pull a 142 at around 35 hz. Was exceptionally painful. the lower you go the more it hurts until around 30 hz then your ears really cant detect it as much. you'll still feel it just not hear it.

You might want to take your own advice. Have you ever wondered why a 65 inch dlp tv is the same price as a lcd or plasma of a much smaller size? Its due to the fact that a plasma or lcd side by side is going to expose it for a shitty ass tv. Since you like the price check so much you can actually find that dlp tv even cheaper on newegg or tigerdirect. Damn wonder why they cant give it away? as for my hang on the wall comment. just curious who daily bumped them. I have two on the way for christmas and going to put them in the daily. Ive been playing with the port and anything under like 38 hz results in a stupid long port with lots of bending. what has actually worked for you? Im figuring on 2 cubes total after port and woofer displacement and tuned to 38 to 40 hz. with these being 8s I really dont think ill lose alot of low end. Good thing its a hatch I should be able to get em into the low 40s

the DD will not let you down. I have not heard a subwoofer louder over a broader range then the DD 9500series. I love mine
