3000watts with 4guage? What kind of amp is it? Because if it's seriously 3000W RMS then you need 1/0 guage. 8guage should be good enough, but connecting it to a distribution block is a much better way then connecting to your amp.

That only means that the 1100.1's are creating more distortion then CJ's amps. I was mainly getting at the more power output form the amps the larger the margin will be. for the smaller amps 10 volt realistically probly wont cause sub damage. But in this cause prolonged use with 15k plus in power even 1 or 2 volts can kill the subs within seconds True, the more power you have the better you need to know how to control it. That's why high powered systems aren't good for beginners.

It's ,intresting to see that quite a lot of people hate on the Soundstream 15000XXX because it can't get rated at 14v and normal ohm load but if it's DC then they get it. I think both (the DC and SS) amps are not made for everyone , but for specific people.

Lol you call audiobahn junk but your using Power acoustic. Anyway, just buy a new amp, it will be cheaper then having to replace it multiple times.(and don't buy a poweracoustic,audiobahn,boss, or SPL amps, those are junk. If you need 1000W RMS it will be around 300 dollar to have a decent one,JBL,rockford,alpine,sundown, are good amps.)

I've had a few Pioneers and none of them gave Engine noise or other noise. I know with some older ones there actually was a problem but since a few years they don't have it anymore.

The alpine is a decent amp. How is it set up? Gain settings, subsonic ?

LOL(see what did there?) Alt makes "power", battery stores it, amps pull the "power" from the battery. So your competitors example is bad. They need a assload of batteries as a reserve because they can't put enough alts in the engine bay for their 2000-4000amps that they pull. Most important thing is the alt, first upgrade that and then the battery. That's the most logical order. Alt "feeds" the battery whcih "feeds" the amp. So with more batts you will be able to play a bit longer but the strain on the stock alt is much greater since it has to recharge multiple batts instead of 1. And to the topic starter, if you can buy a HO alt for the price of a decent batt, then it's possible the alt isn't good. Which one is it?
