yeah, i already have the iraggi "200a" alt. All 1/0 gauge wiring, Big 3. Ive got a 40ft spool of RF 1/0gauge wire sittin here for when im ready to rip all the seats out and put another run of it in for another battery, im just too damn lazy but if i gotta do it imma do it. I just need some 1/0 gauge terminals............. Thanks

How efficient are the SAX-100.4's? Right now i have a RF P450.4 for my mids and highs, the birth sheet says its 96x4 @ 4ohms and only like 61% efficient. So the sundown would only be ~15-25 wrms more per channel, but im lookin for efficiency. Also lookin into a SAZ-1500d to replace my T10001bd(1633 rms at 1ohm and ~80% eff.) Overall about how much would it really benefit me by switching to sundown amps? I have a 2000 Impala and the biggest alt i can get is a "200" amp. I just got another T1 and the T10001bd is running at 1ohm again and i forgot how much the lights dimm , but when idiling the voltage only drops down to 12.9(not on all songs just a couple, most songs it goes down to ~13.3ish) at full tilt. When im driving -any speed- and the bass hits i can "see" and feel the rpms dropping like 1-200rpms-is that normal? i only have 1 optima yellow top under the hood(with the 185 amp alt- ), should i go get another one for the rear and see what that does first? IDK what to do............ Thanks

When i went to "scool" for AutoBody thats all we used was etching primer on bare metal. it was ground with 36grit then sprayed with etching primer, then sanded lightly and coated with regular gray primer(i like dupont EURO Prime- but i heard they are gonna stop making it), n off to the paint booth.

I think everyone should have 1/0 gauge. if i were u id get some 1/0. It cant hurt, the only thing is that it costs a lil more. I just picked up a 40' spool of RF 1/0 from HDA cost a total of less than $115, gonna be doin another run or two when i get some more batteries

I remember them days of my first job. im only 22 and my first job i was making 5.25/hr at a farm supply store. then went to a car dealer to wash cars for 6.50/hr then switched dealers and was makin 8/hr then got a raise to 10/hr. now i just started a job at Silgan Container, as a can line mechanic making $16.10/hr isint there a Silgan Container in sac town somewhere???

my buddy had a problem like that, but everything was freezing. not just recorded shows. they came out and replaced the cable going to the box and the box its self. "the guy" said they collect dust and start overheating and end up freezing.

I like my silverstars, bright enough and dont get bothered by people flashing me or cops. Put right in the stock place, cost like $36 and 10x better than stock bulbs. just my $.02

thats what i was thinking, but its just odd that it does this like erraticly. sometimes its fine for 2-3 days and other times is only a few hours. i removed the battery and put it on the charger, this is when its charging at 17V, which it didnt do before. it said fully charged, and i unhooked the charger and let it sit overnight. so now when i go to my moms today im gonna see if its dead or not. if its dead im just gonna get another batt and go from there, if not then idk. if it pisses me off too much ill just sell the dam thing haha, since i just got a new job(starting monday) ill be able to afford gas to drive the other car. going from 8.10/hr to 15.80/hr thanks

this battery is in my 2nd car with no system in i but i wanted to ask here cuz everyone seems pretty smart about these things. i bought it 2yrs ago, 94 saturn-36mpg FTW, brand new alt and fairly new looking batt. now if it sat for a few days the battery would die. so i got a new batt-ac delco, got it for free on a saturday discount . seemed fine for a while then started doing it again-when it was cold, usually if i left it for about 24hrs or so. its been doing it all summer and getting on my nerves, badly. bought a charger-$70 from walmart, good enough i figure. charged it, lasted 2.5 weeks fine no problems, even let it sit for 2 days and it was fine. now all of a sudden its doing it again and when i charge it the DD on the charger goes up to 16.9 then OL, im guessing over limit, but is still charging. i figure the alt is charging cuz when i jump it, drive it down the road for 3mins it starts fine, and the lights are always bright at night. sorry for the long post but...... what should i do? go get another new batt for like $70 and try that or a new alt for $140 and its a PITA to install? yeah, ok thats what i was lookin for. im gonna haffta start on this thing sometime soon. what would the difference between a longer 5" port and a shorter 4.25" port be if any-if both have a tuning of 33.xhz? p.s. hopefully gettin a new job within the next couple weeks, 12.50-15.50?hr big jump from a measly 8.10/hr cant wait-that'll = new subs, box, mid/high's amp, another batt, gettin all excited now Thanks

i like the port in the middle, looks wise the best, so if i do that id just go straight back. but what if it is longer that the depth of the box? would i make it like "T" shaped? like if i do a 5" port its gotta be 26.75" long, but can only go back 17.5" so just split the rest half on one side other half on the other? thats the part that confuses me. Thanks

anyone??? is the RE box good to use or should i do 2 chambers 2 ports like i got now?? and what about the port?
