  1. you wont lose any mids/highs unless your hu has only like 1v preouts. a box for eight 5 1/2" speakers?
  2. i would not do that. remember that water flows through the door when it rains. im sure its more water than splashes on the battery under the hood. so it will corrode and worse case, short out. if you want to hide little batteries then find cavities in the plastic panels. you can usually find those in cargo areas. plus getting the larger gauge wire into the door to the battery would be a serious problem. you cant just hook up a 14awg wire to it and expect that to be ok. the battery will be part of the entire charging system. is there is a draw anywhere in the car, some of that power will come from this battery.
  3. use the "front" outputs on the HU to go to the 4 channel using splitters. then use the "rear" outputs for the sub amp. in a car you only run "stereo" so there is just left and right, there is no front and back. so splitting the front channel doesnt do anything bad expect you lose fade. BAH, ninja'd!
  4. kicker hyper flex 1/0 is like a limp noodle. it used to be really cheap but the price went up. im usually fine with knu's CCA stuff.
  5. i listened to other songs from this guy and i didnt like a single one lol.
  6. if they are intimidators, get those. they are great batteries.
  7. they aren't deka intimidators are they?
  8. convert the file to aac for your ipod and dont compress it. works just fine. i like the song, sounds good.
  9. any 12v battery source will help.
  10. i ran my saz1500s at .5 strapped daily. i could put them into protect or burn the fuses but that was not all that common. ran two crescendo 3ks at .5ohm daily, no problems. but i kept my voltage at a safe level and i had my amps in closed amp racks with two fans on each amp to keep them cool.
  11. what frequencies are you trying to play through these? i cant imagine needing something louder than four 10" PA drivers in the doors. must sound like ass.
  12. lol isnt that like asking dell if newegg shipped your computer? db-r is a good company. they will get you your amp.
  13. theres your problem my thoughts exactly.
  14. i had a rebuilt sundown saz1500 that worked great and i abused the shit out of it. i currently have a pioneer z110 in my car that was refurbished and its been there for a year now. so i personally trust them.
  15. this was my first box build ever, and i had C.Sanchez A designing it for me, i had NO clue about box building and designing so i just got it from him and built it, dont have to be a dick about it man.. well now we know his designs suck. he design it for free?
  16. Have you gone to their site? Not only is the amp not listed, but the amps they list there are also only listed with max ratings. Autotek used to be good stuff, the MM series atleast. The old school MM4000.1's were strong amps. Their new stuff is just blah. Agreed 100%.. I looked and looked and looked to find an old school Autotek MM 600.4 amp for my mids and highs, and finally found one.. These old school MM amps are very high quality, big and heavy amps... There new series are absolute shit tho..... x3
  17. Thank you man. The longest time I spent sanding were right in the beginning getting the edges to line up. IF you see light around edge lines that is the case. The other un even color was imperfections in the veneer. Next time I would look for a better piece of ply. pay attention to what side you have facing out too. there is usually a good side of the sheet and a bad side.
  18. as soon as i looked at the pics, before looking at the torres pic, i said "holy fuck thats a big port" just adding wood to the port walls to shrink the port will work but it will change tuning a lot and the port length will need to change too.
  19. ya you didnt need to do all that sanding. all i did between coats of stain and varnish was hit it with a white scotchbright pad. it looks like some parts of your came out lighter than others like you sanded down too deep. did you wipe the stain off after applying? just trying to help you do it better next time
  20. x2. should work for your goal.
  21. oak and birch ply are going to be about the same thing. its the veneer or top layer that is actually oak/birch the rest is a cheaper wood. the color looks like mine. what did you sand with between coats?
  22. i hope the oldest brother doesnt have a hard on up his moms ass.
  23. Make your own classes then... Jeez. Always a hater somewhere...
  24. x2. pretty easy if you have a drill press.
