  1. and the drunk driver is always the one that survives.
  2. cant be any harder than mine the VCM is the easy way, if they dont make one for you then this is your other option. the same thing everyone did before the VCM. unless they MLA makes something for your car.
  3. its not a harness guys. its an external reg. you send him the alt and he installs it.
  4. lol they practiced that one
  5. my friend was talking about how bad he needed to deaden his rear deck. i stuck 2 little pieces of foam in where that light sits and the rattle was gone. probably saved him $50. foam tape is you friend
  6. lol %90 of my rattles have been solved with weather stripping. ill bet the rattle you hear is from the brake light on the rear deck. either the light in the housing or the housing hitting the windshield.
  7. the area is fine but i dont know if its just cause of the layers but it doesnt look like you pressed it in at all. it should hug every nook and cranny, not just lay over the high spots. i always press in every square inch with the back side of a screw driver. others use little rollers.
  8. http://www.teamsd.net/
  9. i completely agree. and those 4500's are insanely big. i would rather get two 2k amps. like sundown 2500's, or audioque 2200. its supposed to be better for impedance rise to spread the load to 2 amps instead of one. although thats only what ive been told, never did test. sundown is having a great sale on used amps at the moment. check out their section on here. soundigital is pretty expensive but with a lifetime warranty, its worth it.
  10. much easier way to test the RCAs and HU... disconnect the RCAs from the amp. if the noise is gone then work your way through the RCAs
  11. some amps do that.
  12. turning the gain up doesnt mean its working harder or anything. its just matching the amp with the input voltage. if the input voltage was .2v you better believe the gain would be all the way up. and likewise if you had 10v going through the rcas you could have the gain all the way down and still clip. so dont worry about it
  13. i bet you would love the tank my cousin has. its 3 tanks flush in the wall with a wet room behind it. very bad ass.
  14. like you, i guess, if you went there all the time. i went to that site once and that was enough for me.
  15. was it shorting out or just loosing connection? if it was shorting out im shocked you didnt pop that fuse or burn the car down.
  16. do you have the correct soldering irons for motherboards? its a lot different than soldering wire, if you dont already know.
  17. the amp doesnt go into protect when this happens? looks like the coil shorted out.
  18. find out what needs to be replaced and i can do the work easy enough.
  19. well i dont see why any amp couldnt have a bunch of components replaced so they didnt burn up... im sure it would cost a lot to do.
  20. truly rebuilt or just disabled the protection?
  21. this sale makes me want to stock up for the future lol. killer deals jacob.
