  1. 1900w through 16awg? that would scare me. your probably clipping.
  2. you need to measure AC amperage and AC voltage to get wattage.
  3. here is my guess. the battery is draining after that time goes by. the alt is working to charge the battery and run the system. the cap is trying to charge as well but since it charges so fast is just sucking power only to have it taken immediately away by the amps. so it never really gets a charge. very quick explanation because i gotta run off. sorry if it didnt make sense lol.
  4. the XL's love 2000w
  5. damnit all these crescendo 3k builds are pissing me off. one of mine showed up dead and had to go back to be fixed. i should be having fun with 6k by now too!! <--jealous
  6. ever measure the resistance of the DMM leads?
  7. for rattles the cheapest and, in my opinion, the best thing to get is weather stripping. its just foam with tape on one side. find the item that rattles and put the weather stripping between it and the object its hitting. most of the time, in a trunk car, its the license plate and the brake light on the rear deck.
  8. he just said he checked OP, they will be fine off that much power. 1st off you probably dont have the volume up full tilt all the time so its not seeing that much power very often. i ran 150w to a 50w comp set. worked perfectly fine for a year until i upgraded. they still sound great.
  9. the 7k2e's are supposed to be cleaner power and better sounding but they turn off at ~14.8v sounddigital has a lifetime warranty and make some killer amps. the crossover sucks on them though so you want an active crossover with one.
  10. so you did something illegal, got caught, got off with a warning and your pissed off at the cop? laws are laws and the cop's job is to enforce them. if you think the law is stupid go down to city hall and talk to someone. dont get pissed at the cop for doing what he is supposed to do.
  11. hey, at least it doesnt have any fat in it. ya, i added the second part. just my logic. not like i know what the dog is thinking lol.
  12. i have been told that they bring it back to the porch as a gift. providing you with food because you provide them with food.
  13. i think my dog just likes to chase things. i honestly dont think he would know what to do if he did catch up to one.
  14. lol, no. she hates other cats. she growls and even barks at them (never heard a cat bark before ) and she is fixed.
  15. wow, now that would be crazy to watch. she did get dinner and she never eats her kills. she just bites them until they stop moving then she gets bored and leaves. she went back inside with me after i found her.
  16. voted. jessica was much better to look at though.
  17. my cat is like 11 years old, maybe more. mostly an indoor cat. doesnt show any hyper attitude anymore. doesnt play much. but tonight i just walked outside and she is chewing on a dead baby rabbit. close by is a dead gofer. not far from that is an adult rabbit. ive never seen her get an adult before, or 3 in one night. im amazed. and my 2 year old dog goes after the rabbits at least 10 times every day. never even gets close. while the neighbor's dog has gotten a rabbit on leash before lol.
  18. really? ive ordered from them for years and never had a problem.
  19. no, when a coil dies its very common for the numbers to jump around like that. the only thing heat would effect is size. things expand when heated so it COULD be possible that once heated the coil shorts out. just a theory. i would expect that sub to be on its way out though. will probably die again and not come back.
  20. well it sounds like a blown coil but maybe its just a bad solder joint on the terminals.
  21. actually too many screws can be a very bad thing. if you split the wood, you just made it weaker. use good wood glue, predrill every screw hole, only use a screw where you see a small gap in the seam. you use screws like clamps, they just need to hold it all together until the glue dries. like i said, not trying to insult you. its ok to mess up. when i look at a build i look for something that is wrong and try to help the person learn how to do it better next time.
  22. ill be there man. sounds like ill get to meet you. im looking forward to a demo.
