recently got a 15" DC spl xl, had it in a 4.25 cube box ( yes its a tad big, but i was watching the sub and it wasnt moving much at all ) was playing fine, pretty loud, then outa no where something in the box started rattling, pulled sub out to cheak spiders.. no rips or anything, free aird it and.. holy shit its noisy! i assume its becasue theres no pole vent, and its just mechanical noise, it doesnt sound like ripped spiders, just a hole lot of air moving around for cooling bassically im asking, if the spl xls are really noisey free air?

IMO, i do : break in" my subs, i myseld had LV3s ( with an extra spider tho..) and let them loosed up on 500rms ea for a week or 2, then ran 1500rms to them with a "stock" level 3 i think you would be alright just letting it play 3/4 volume for a few songs then giviner

I have the blue one, i calibrated it at idle, then when i reved engine, it was .2v different.... so i calibrated it while reving truck

they make an rca cord, that had a 3.5mm end, on one end and normal rcas on the other try that but start with your volume down and slowly turn it up

then he doesnt know wtf hes doing... i had 2 AP3ks @2ohm ea on 4 level 3s. i never smelt them.. and i played them.. very hard every single day if you knwo what your doing a level 3 will take a decent amount of power

try turning it so its sub up port forward when i was burping, i had my gains set for vol 52/60 at vol 52/60 i did a 148.x went to 55/50 149.6 went to 60/60 and did a 150.1
