Women and guns

Never ceases to amaze me lol -
So he needed to put his Sub level to +9 to get the full 4v out of the pre-outs?
-
Honestly you are shat out of luck in terms of TRULY scoping your system. Because to truly do it you need to calibrate from the H/U RCA's back. But if you wanted to you can get a portable CD player with a AUX to R/L audio and scope the amp from that... Honestly buying a new deck would serve the greater good in terms of investments.

Belt issue? Dual Alts on Tahoe
JasonJones replied to RickyFriery97's topic in Electrical-battery- Alternators- Wiring
first picture, the black residue on the stock alt is coming off the belt. i asked if this was normal or not. i just never noticed it before Ahhhh its hard to see it. Is the belt walking around on the pully? Causing it to fray and spit belt shat everywhere? -
Belt issue? Dual Alts on Tahoe
JasonJones replied to RickyFriery97's topic in Electrical-battery- Alternators- Wiring
I'm lost as well Rick, whats up with that? It doesn't look like anything is out of place... Is it the belt rub along the side of the belt? Is the belt walking around on the pullies? -
Any way you could post up a vid so we can attempt to hear the noise? And obviously a dumb question but your SSF is turned on on your amp right?
-
Hey bro, not knocking or anything, but why would you turn the sub level up on your H/U out of curiosity. Shouldn't you zero out your H/U, find unclipped signal on it, then adjust the gains at the amp? (I'm guessing you're just using your sub level as a bass knob, but I may be wrong but apologize if I'm right and just asking stupid questions).

TREO ENGINEERING 6.1 USACI AMP
JasonJones replied to burzendowski's topic in For Sale: Car audio related equipment only
Can you post the specs? On mobile I can't view that site -
Follow the large harness from the key cylinder it will be wrapped with either tape or tape and wire wrap. Open the harness and you'll see large gauge wiring and look for the black/light green. TEST THIS WIRE WITH YOUR DMM. You should have 12v in ACC and Run ONLY. So you should get 12v then it drops when you crank then when the car is running it should be 12v again. Then just run a 16-18 gauge wire from that harness up to the radio and tap in accordingly. Hope this helps

I've been holding out but the beast I'm driving now is dying and I ripped the system out to have it ready to trade in. The only auction in my area is for dealers only so I'm fucked as far as that goes cuz if I don't have a license I'm fucked. And what's worse is cars at auction they come "as is" so you're not allowed to start it. It could have check engine or blown transmission and you never know.... I'm just sort of depressed cus every time I'm about to grab one they wholesale it or sell it off before I can get down there. Thanks for the advice on the painting, I figured it was a bad idea.

Does anyone have any good advice to give in regards to dealing with car salesmen? And just general advice when buying? I've been looking for a 2007-2010 Suburban for THREE months now. I've scoured the market and find great deals occasionally but every time I go to act on it and purchase the vehicle the mother fuckers gone. Then a day later the exact same truck will pop up at another dealership for thousands of dollars more and they refuse to budge on the price... It's irritating at best. So my question to you car buying veterans is: am I limiting my options too much by going for a black on black? Should I open up the option of other colors and just get it painted? And is this financially a good idea?(no clue how much a good paint job costs, and only bought one vehicle in my life). Well thanks for any recommendations you guys make!
