You should be able to pound pretty good with that space. I have a 08 Silverado Single Cab and the mounting depth is very limited without a few mods. But I can still get a good amount of air.

I think they would still put out the same. Kinda like 2 speakers connected to one channel, the amp will split the power evenly. I'm thinking the same thing with 2 Amps strapped and a electrical system( Batteries, alts, etc.). They would share the voltage.

I don't think he has room for a Double Din since he has a pioneer screen below the head unit. Unless he redoes the dash to fit a double din.
