u dont have a 4 channel so use your regular speaker wires NOT the pree outs to fint where they clip at. then hoot the dd1 back up to your amp and use the volume number u got from the regular speaker test and play track 3,5, or 7 and set the gain on your amp

well the speaker outputs are going to distort b4 the preouts do. thats normal. get a 4 channel or find the unclipped volume of the speakers and set your subs from that volume

im guessing this means u went to an auto parts store and had them check your voltage? that will not tell you if you have volage drop. you need to put a meter on the amps and monitor the voltage when it shuts off

i used to live in little rock but i moved to KC and last year we had some shows up here but this year usaci isnt doing anything up here. we could drive 2 hours away and do midwest spl but i would get raped due to the classes in modwest spl.

there you will have to buy a scope but the dd-1 is cheaper. i have both and i prefer the dd-1. no guess work.

you cant hear clipping. and all amps have the ability to clip no matter how good they are. and the fact u say u have 5 volt pre out and the gain is all the way up. yes sir you are clipping
