it might have a factory amp i have done a few Taurus's (as far as mechanics go i am the Taurus king i have been told...lol) what i usually do that is easiest is just run my own speaker wire. you can go thro the factory door looms but its a b**ch. only way to get it to work is to hook up the factory radio and get a test light and go on each wire to see if it has power cut any wire that does and rewire each time and when u get no sound but everything works on the radio i would say u have the factory remote wire...then u wire that to ur head unit remote wire and you should be in business...this way works i could never find a good wiring diagram of the Taurus radio ....hope this helps

i make sooooo much money off GM intakes what is the main cause of this is the dex-cool coolant used by GM .it after time will turn very acidy and eat the plastic in the cooling system. the way to fix this issue permanently is to get the *fel pro gaskets* lower intake set that's is metal instead of the plastic (its referred to as the problem solver kit) then instead of using dex cool flush your cooling system with water till it comes out clean.(i use a garden hose& air hose to blow the heater core, rad, and heads out be careful not use to much pressure ) put it back togther run with water and clean oil dump oil and water.re fill with all makes all models anti-freeze and fresh oil with filter....i would do this on the new engine and never have a issue again...like i said i do ALOT of lower intakes on GM's & make sure to get all gasket areas lookin new b4 re Assembly ....good luck

its a brz so it should do its rated power so if you trade ur getting screwed @ 1ohm out of 200 watts...but if the RF gives you 100 more watts @2ohm its a tough call.RF i think cost more.but the hifonics amps do sound really clean...i love hifonics amps personally so im gonna say keep the hifonics

peak vs rms?
extremeauto replied to bakerzx2's topic in General Audio - Can't find a category for your question? Ask here.
you will want a 200 rms you dont usually have to worry about peak power on amps as far as the sub goes i wouldn't feed it more than 500 watts myself -
Opinions: Best 1k 15" for around 250?
extremeauto replied to taylorpro's topic in Subwoofers / Enclosures
be close to $250 per woofer for sundown but very much worth it i have had the sa-12"S and my buddy has sa 15"S and both got down..i had @1800rms to my sundown 12"S and he is giving his 15"s @3k daily and they dont even stink after long play time.. great subs and they dont ever seem to get loose or sloppy ...i would look into the sundowns if i was you... and you will have a hard time getting any 15" that's good for $250.00 a pair... -
Low output issue
extremeauto replied to lacboi's topic in General Audio - Can't find a category for your question? Ask here.
i have had this issue with a couple of hifonics amps and what i have found is they do not like low voltage to the rca's .....after a while some headunits and sond processors get warm and lose out put voltage (mostly head-units my audio control does as well )if you have it ran thro the audio control un-hook it and use the line drive i got a soundstream bx-15 bass machine and have not had the issue since....anther thing with them is they will fade in and out like ur dropping a voice coil if you have them turned down 2 low.... im not sure if this is the same with the colosus but i know the bxi,brz and hifi all have had those issues test the rca voltage while it is doing it best way would be to get a spliter/Y rca and hook in @ the amp test the out put with a digy volt meter. -
Questions about Scorpion Digital volt meter
extremeauto replied to Bigsix's topic in Electrical-battery- Alternators- Wiring
it probably sense's when there is no power draw and shuts off after a few secs...i have a digy fuse holder at my rear bats and it turns on when it sense's a draw and shuts off when it stops dropping...kind of suck when u wanna see ur voltage when ur not rockin out...lol i would say for $5 you didnt get hurt...lol -

need some help
extremeauto replied to articwhiteavy's topic in Electrical-battery- Alternators- Wiring
you will need some battery's to take the strain of the alt but you want to have enough batt power to run the amp/amps you are running ....its gonna need all the power you can feed it
