  1. OR...what if i took the A/V cable from the PS3 and put the red RCA into the red RCA jack on the surround speaker/receiver/subwoofer, and did the same with the white one? it'd have a 2-to-1 converter for the RCA's, but would still go through that for sound, am i right?
  2. thank ya thank ya. i'll give those a whirl
  3. i finally got my ps3 and i'm pretty excited except i gotta go to work now. so i dont have any time to play around with it. i got the HDMI cord to go to my LCD monitor on my PC...now how do i get the sound from my speakers? or can i even use my PC speaker setup with my ps3? i dont see any kind of ports or anything...unless i'm missin somethin but dammit...i gotta work thanks in advance. i wanna watch my blue ray spider man 3 when i get off
  4. DX10. and that's only compatible with vista. if he had xp and dx9 he wouldnt be able to play it. i have that and i cant play the bioshock demo
  5. yeah i'd give that sub 2500-3k watts. cheapest bet is an amp rated 3000 watts @ 1 ohm most likely. lol blt
  6. also...running 2 subs with 1000 watts each would be louder than 1 sub with 2000 watts, being the subs are the same size. dno if you knew that or not just thought i'd throw that out there
  7. no, generally the 2000 watts would be louder. but the 1000 watts would run cooler not that it'd make THAT big of a difference in temperatures. chances are you wont be playing it full tilt for long periods of time anyway
  8. they resemble the XXX imo. just slightly tho
  9. no ruler. use a measuring tape. the length (from the driver side wall to your passenger side wall), the heighth (top to bottom), and depth (back of your truck to front). just remember to write down the MAX dimensions you are willing to work with. if your overall length is 40 inches, but you can only use or want to use 30 of those inches, then write 30 since that's what we have to work with. being a single cab...you'll have a lot of length, maybe about half that for the heighth, and not so much depth. but we'll see what we can work out
  10. x2. i always wait as long as i can. gives someone else a far smaller chance to outbid you. and if it was somethin i really wanted...and hell i was waiting 4+ years to get it, then shit yeah i'd fork out a decent amount. but that's just me
  11. neither. it's best to give the sub the rated power. now...giving a 200 watt sub 200 watts @ 4 ohms is better than giving it 200 watts @ 1 ohm. why? because this will cause the amp to run cooler and more efficient. giving it a cleaner signal. heat is an amps #1 enemy. but running an amp @ 1 ohm isnt bad either. lots of people here do. hell... i have my amp running 2 subs @ 1 ohm. you can give the sub less wattage than it's rated, but you're going to wanna make sure that the signal is still clean. ex: put a 100 watt amp on your 200 watt rated sub is ok, just dont have the amp settings turned up 100% as it'll distort the signal and damage your sub. you want that amp to put out 100 watts, not trying to push more than it can handle hope that answers a question or two
  12. omg i love the first black lexus and the red/black viper. wow
  13. given that the box is braced as much as possible to prevent vibrations. double layered IF possible even (which from the looks of it doesnt look like it lol). if not i'd just brace it as much as i could where the amps would be.
  14. x3 on audiocontrol. and the ohms on the subs depends on what kind of amps you're gonna run. say you have a 2 ohm stable amp and you wanna run an amp to each sub, then you want the 4 ohm model DVC so when wired in parallel...you get the 2 ohm load on the amp. what amp will you be running?
  15. we'd need the max dimensions of the space you have to work with. that way we can adjust measurements accordingly and still give the sub the correct amount of airspace
  16. definitely like the rework. saw this style done at a comp and was going to suggest something similar but forgot all about it
  17. hmmm...i couldnt tell. may be an illusion? but definitely add some mat. strength = good
  18. i'm the juggernaut BITCH  http://youtube.com/watch?v=zgAPFKDL6Sg
  19. that's not a bad price. thanks for that link
  20. nice! good news about the PS3 at least which is what i was mainly concerned about. wanna finish playing the couple PS2 games i got, then try to trade everything in on a PS3 and i'd much rather be able to play that on my LCD instead of my tube tv. thanks brotha
  21. i got a 19" widescreen LCD which is much better than my tube tv. and i'm eventually going to get a PS3, so how do i go about playing my PS2 and my future PS3 on my PC monitor? you need a TV tuner card for the PS2, right? and an HDMI/DVI adapter for PS3? i got the tv tuner card, and it's in, and drivers are in, but a window pops up and says 'device not found'. is it just a cheap card or just not compatible with my mobo?
  22. so where does the audio come in?!? jp jp sucks about the eggs tho. that'd piss me off for sure
  23. still shouldnt be a problem. say one requires 4 cubes, you'd just make a box for 12 cubes (if you wanna use the common chamber method) the only concern you'd have would be using one amp to wire the 3 to like... thirds of an ohm and whatnot
  24. x2. each amp would have its own load to each sub instead of being split up between the 3
