  1. damn! it all looks so good. i'm jealous, i'm trying to scrap together change to get some work done lol. that guy definitely knows how to draw some ink on people tho
  2. and considering it was a prototype, that of course means it's not at its finished stage. 99% chance something got added/removed/changed. part of the game when developing something brand new. although i'll admit i'm a bit anxious to see updates myself.
  3. two things...one i notice in LOTS of pictures. but the pic with the front shot of your truck, the wheels should be turned the other way. even tho it's a head on shot, it just looks better bent the other way. i see it a lot on corner shots. the wheel needs to be turned to show the rim, not the other way around. and i think it'd look better if the fade was more gradual instead of a defining line where you can see it ended. looks decent otherwise, just some constructive criticism
  4. i'd rather download or make the files for free and have a cheaper price over having it come with a cd. *click...click click* there, you're done. saved me some dollars but then you have another issue, if you output it through a mp3 player, you could have clipping going on in the internal amp of that, or you could burn it incorrectly so that it is not a true 0db track anymore, if he included a disk, which costs a whole 5 cents (No joke) then it would be spot on for everyone true true. i tend to tune my amps to whatever i listen to the most. i tuned with a cd player once, played with an ipod and broke some stuff not due to any specific song either. so i tune with whatever my primary listening source is
  5. i didn't, you're a quicker ninja than me lol. i didn't even catch him halving the ohm load tho. good thing to point out. unless he plans on changing subs or something. i did come back in here tho to double check the responses myself hahaha. i was sitting here like wait a minute...did i read that right? hahaha
  6. WHAT???? are you talking about gaining 10db to be perceived as twice as loud to the listener? correct, at least that's how i took that post
  7. i use a roller to paint them. it's thicker and doesn't soak in near as much. usually just a couple coats will do ya
  8. output is more based on the enclosure than sub, given similar scenarios
  9. haha wow i would never buy from a company that said his alt did almost full power at idle. that's just stupid
  10. sounds like the same exact thing that happened to my friends ipod that he gave me to fix. i looked high and low to no avail and ended up trashing it
  11. cheap wire = thicker jacket and less wire. if it's not AWG, i wouldn't buy it EDIT: oops...if you're talking about RCA's then most any RCA is fine. some people may argue this point but i've found RCA's to be the same. but i've never ran crazy expensive high end SQ stuff either
  12. figure that out then fuse it with the same size fuse as your alt
  13. well duh, that's the only way to hit all the notes since 18's hit lower and 8's hit higher
  14. as long as it works. at least somewhat. no bondo over fleece for an enclosure
  15. soon as i figure out how/if i can get that to work, i'll get back to you. researching it now. i don't have any RCA outs on my carputer i don't think, just some different auxiliary outs. one which is for a mic, one which is for audio
  16. but still...don't companies rate their subs with xx net volume sealed, and xx net volume ported? the ported volume is still higher, but being net volume, all displacements should have already been taken out, including port displacement. i know it's been answered already, just pointing out something And which one do they recommend as louder or for SPL? Ported or sealed? LOL I get your point. haha i know i always just assume technical jibber jabber that probably goes way above my head
  17. but still...don't companies rate their subs with xx net volume sealed, and xx net volume ported? the ported volume is still higher, but being net volume, all displacements should have already been taken out, including port displacement. i know it's been answered already, just pointing out something EDIT: just an example...sundown had rated their E8's at .28 cubes sealed, and .6 ported
  18. can you PM me closer pics of the connectors? if i can get them into my carputer then i have serious interest. and as long as they're not too big for my headrests
  19. i can't believe i finally made it a whole 5 posts without someone quoting how many people are looking at this thread i whistled out loud at that first picture. that stance with that color and those wheels...just a sexy combination. a majority is that stance...low low like that is just drop dead sexy in my eyes. not that anything else even comes close to looking half bad tho lol
  20. this is what you should do. i installed a pair of T4 tens in my friends celica and they sounded GREAT. we were both shocked at how it sounded when we powered it up for the first time
  21. i'd rather download or make the files for free and have a cheaper price over having it come with a cd. *click...click click* there, you're done. saved me some dollars
