    lol funny way to put it. but there's no really SET rules that qualify it that i'm aware of. just guidelines. there's always a meter to go by. and never said there was anything wrong with it

    yeah dont ask the DB question. TOO many factors come into play. it's near impossible to guess, and if you go lower you'll just be disappointed. there's a guy on here that has half the power, half the cone area (2 subs instead of 4) and he hits 3db's higher on the meter. derrick you bastard! so ima rebuild my box a couple times, hell might even cut down to 2 15's myself.

    i've made a couple for cartunez2004 on here. shipping for his was just under 60 for one. weighed 120 pounds. materials were 50-60 ish. depends on size really

    product-wise it does have potential. doesnt mean it'll slam when you install it. intalls are 20% product, 80% build...the build will determine if it is or not

    nah. you dont wanna put very much more power on those (even if you've seen people do it...there's more that goes on behind the scenes that allow that). so in this case...the same power (3000 ish watts from that example) on the pair of subs would better suit him. it'd be louder because of the higher cone area. the extra power you put on an 18" wouldnt make much of a difference imo

    i think the actual file we have is different. i tried using the one you have, but i couldnt use it at the time. and i've had one on my comp for a while, then finally got excel to get it to work. think i got it a while back from another site EDIT: oh yeah and i tried downloading it, but the download wouldnt start. but amatt said what needed to be said at least

    i did not make that one, tho thanks for the credit! after i learn some programming, i will be making a GUI type calculator tho. should be fairly easy to use lemme check this one real quick
