  1. you can do either inside or outside to run the wire. sometimes easier to go outside, especially with multiple runs. i did mine inside, and under the carpet. terminals is up to you i guess. i dont like the push kind, so i just used bolts. you could even just run a straight wire through there also. and yes grounding the outer ring of the RCA will help reduce/eliminate noise, but it's not the sole solution, tho it will help determine if it's coming from somewhere else. those dont answer all your questions...but just some help. and x3 on that. not a bad idea. there's a lot of stickies in each category also with useful info EDIT: the search is kinda hard to use sometimes imo. minimum of 4 letters. unless there's somethin i'm not seein
  2. yeah. thinking > me. i drove by home depot today on my way home from class. shoulda done it then. oh well
  3. thank ya thank ya that ugly extra glue is going to get sanded away before i'm finished. i'm not gonna cover or paint it, cartunez is gonna handle that. he's puttin a little speaker box on top of that and wants it to match. i still dont want that glue there tho oh yeah...i still need to buy 4 more bolts. that's where they're missin. i thought there were 16 holes instead of 20 lol
  4. quick little update. i suck at taking pics while i'm workin lol all that's left is to cut the holes for the subs and the flush mount piece. after i cut the holes ima round the port edges and BAM it's done. damn weather/school/work has slown me down a bit. but it's almost there finally
  5. rofl hahaha *ahem* yeah i think there HAS to be some sort of life out there. like seriously...look at pics of the universe. you can see pics where our whole GALAXY is just one little dot amoungst tonnnnnns of starts and other shit out there. how can we be the ONLY ones? especially if you take the evolution side of things. now they might not be super advanced green aliens flying around in light speed ships or anything, but just as simple as single cell organisms or animals or a bunch of sea creatures. who knows...but it'd be sweeeeet if we found life on other planets
  6. trigger happy ftw! lol if i told my dad i wasnt goin to school...he'd just look at me and tell me to shut up and go back to bed
  7. stereotypes ftl. kinda like a guy cuttin his own hair, or cuttin his homies hair as a favor, and that's cool. but bein a hair stylist or some shit. i know where you're comin from tho. i hate stereotypes
  8. that's a nice lookin box. i like the oval flush mount
  9. ah ok thanks man!
  10. there's a ketchup button at wendys. given they have the new computer system, which most or all should. if you call and they try to give you trouble, find out if they're franchise or corporate. if they're franchise ask for the number to the office so you can complain. they'll give you whatever you want so you dont call the office lol. they get in some deep shit about complaints.
  11. yeah, where can you get some of that release wax?
  12. yeah i wouldnt mount the amp to the box unless it was double layered. i have 6 layers of sound deadener between the 2 layers on my box
  13. just to state a view on the other side of things...they get that a LOT! and people want extra of EVERYTHING! and it's not always in arms reach. and you're on a timer from when you hit that speaker till you pull out. they dont want anyone in the drive thru for more than 100-110 seconds. if so...higher ups in the company get maaaad pissed talkin about how bad it was and this and that and business and profit and shit. they prefer to have ketchup asked for at the speaker. there's a button to ring it in too but i hear ya...definitely would be annoying. call their asses up and complain and get a credit for your chili and potato. they'll do it no questions asked
  14. you focker! naw jp my tv is going to be my 19" LCD PC monitor whenever i can freakin get the tv tuner card to work
  15. that's a nice lookin dog. lolol growled at the in laws
  16. yeah, that calculator takes off wood displacement on the edges. so it'll all fit right together. and yeah...2 sheets of MDF should do the job right. make sure to make the most efficient cuts
  17. ah...yeah without a table saw they'll be kinda hard to do. you can use 1x1 wood, or .5x1 wood, or some threaded rod for bracing. so unless you use TONS, you wont notice a difference in tuning when playing music. and the rod will hardly take any space at all. but if it helps stop vibrations, then i say it's worth it
  18. lol explosions ftw. yeah post a build log, those are fun to read and bracing and 45's in the corners of the box are your friend
  19. the amp will be ok to hold you over imo, just dont strain it to keep the signal clean. dont wanna damage your speakers while you wait for the new amp
  20. no it wont be pointless. i rebuilt a box i had, changed no subs and no amps, and got more output from it. he's saying when you rebuild it and add more power, you're going to be even louder. an install is 80% build, 20% equipment
  21. sorry to hear that man
  22. yeah mine is 2 gigs with about that many songs, and TONS of space on it leftover. i could put double that many and still hold like 1k+ photos and record lots of videos and all that fun stuff
