  1. for SPL i'd do DD, but from what i've seen from numerous people/places, for SQ i'd go with somethin different than DD
  2. yeah that's a really odd shapped box to find volume with the curve going over the top. what you could do is find the volume of a cylinder, and divide by two (since it's half of one). if the curve isnt quite perfect all the way around, it might help you get a better idea for volume
  3. when you used the filler, did you wait for it to dry all the way? if you wait till just before it's dry, you can sand it in the 'green stage' and it'll take a LOT of the sanding labor away. it'll get smoother quicker, then when it dries completely you can do the finishing touches
  4. what you could also do to do it your way is to counter sink each hole just a little, and put a nut over the bolt so it sits flush inside of it. then that will hold the bolts in place so you can slide the sub right over them and not worry about the bolts falling out. and the sub will still sit flat on the wood
  5. hahahahahah that was great. 'it's...it's still up'
  6. correct with the bass knob. bass on the cd player set to 0, treble set to 0. everything neutral. put the volume at 75-80% of the decks full volume. the remote knob goes all the way up for the exact reason you said, so when you turn it up, it doesnt throw the output voltage from the amp sky high and clip everything to hell and back. with the knob full tilt it should be right around where you adjusted it to.
  7. yes you want to adjust tune the amp according to the way you will wire it all up. when the amp sees a 1 ohm load, it'll put out the power you adjusted it to. now say you adjusted it to that voltage, and wired it to a 2 ohm load (i'm not sure which chart you went by, but ima go by the one in my sig) you'll be getting 600 watts. notice the voltage rating is the same -- 34.64 volts for 600 watts @ 2 ohms and 34.64 volts for 1200 watts @ 1 ohm. so basically when tuning your amp, you want to adjust the voltage according to the power you want/need with the given ohm load into consideration. which is why the chart includes all those ohm ratings. so that way if you need 500 watts with a 4 ohm load, you wont tune it to a 1 ohm load, which would put out less power since the amp 'thinks' it's seeing less resistance since that's what it was tuned to. that make sense or did i just ramble? lol i'll try to clear some up if so
  8. she gonna get the other stars filled in or left alone? it looks good either way i'm just curious. more diversity the way they are
  9. are you saying that you dno what to adjust it to since the amp isnt seeing a load? since the speakers are unhooked and all? at first i thought you werent getting a reading. but am i close? lol i think i know what you're saying, it's just hard to word.
  10. good eye. game is so badassnice simple tat. makes me wanna get some more
  11. http://www.amazon.com/Quad-Maximus-Bass-Me...2363&sr=8-2

  15. i'm not going i need to tweak some more before i feel like i'm ready
  16. i have a logitech 5.1 surround sound setup and an audigy 2 sound card. when i first got it hooked up, all the speakers were working. one day i turn on my pc and only the front two speakers are working. i try to configure them in the sound options and i notice i only have stereo and mono available to choose from. so i reinstall the drivers...and now i have the 5.1 surround to choose, which i did, and tested them in the configuration window and i hear sound coming from them. yet i cannot hear movies/music from them. same with the center speaker. how can i get them back working? thanks in advance oh and i'm using windows vista
  17. lol my thoughts exactly. they showed the inside and i was like wtf seats? i'd take a hummer/excursion limo over that one
  18. yeah i can understand some of the stupid things people went in there for. but if i saw a lady collapse unless maybe they deal with that constantly too, thinkin they can get in a room quicker. who knows
  19. also...granted she sat for a hell of a long time for that to happen. maybe she fell asleep or just didnt move. i mean she coulda walked around some, got some snacks or somethin. but still...
  20. waiting a lot time in an ER room is one thing (it is an EMERGENCY room after all) but 24 hours? wow http://www.slate.com/id/2195851 then a video of what happened http://youtube.com/watch?v=OA29VwnZ4cE imo that's ridiculous. she collapses so they leave her? neither of the people get up to say anything. and one guard looks at her, then sits down and scoots away. if i saw a lady collapse i'd be like oh shit! and go get help. really tho...she could still be alive
  21. i paid 25 for the last sheet i bought. the cheaper stuff tho...not the 40-45 dollar stuff they had. i think it shoulda been 30 bucks but the guy at the cashier got all confused and just gave me the sheet for the price of the MDF i bought
  22. hahahahahahah so did i. i kept reading waiting for the part where it hit him in the nuts. but never came hell the stuff i think i used had a veneer layer on top and that was it
  23. birch is stronger and lighter, but imo more of a pain to work with. i'll just deal with the dust from MDF for the ease of working with it. always has been easier and had a better result in my experience. tho i did stain the bottom piece in my old build which you could see through the port. it was HOT. i'm going to do some trim pieces or somethin with thinner birch and stain it so i can use MDF for everything else
