Not to hijack the thread, but since I've already got pics in here...does anyone know what that white stuff is on my motor? I had it in a sealed box for a little under a year and I took it out and it had this white...corrosion I guess you could call it. I wiped it off but you can still see the discoloration in my pics.

Not sure, man. Mine needs a re-cone as well but I'm just storing it for a while and switching to my z15. All I know is the normal re-cone from Fi is like $75 and I looked into getting it re-coned by a different company as well. They had re-cones but they were a little more expensive.

The specs listed in the sticky at the top of the fi area say 6.5" for a 12" SSD. The BL is 6.75"

Strapping doesn't have anything to do with it. The 1200d is simply underrated. I'm not sure it'd do more than the 1500d, but it's a stout amp nonetheless.

Yeah, Jacob has said that it could legitimately be called a 1500 watt amp, and it put out over 1700 watts in his clamp test before the fuses blew.

Well the SAE amps are Chinese made and don't run below 1 ohm or above 15 volts IIRC. SAX amps are Korean amps and are the multichannel amps (except the new SAX1200D). The SAZ amps are Korean made as well but are the stronger, bigger monoblocks. They run under 1 ohm and up to 18 volts. That may not be totally right, but until someone says different I'm sticking to it.

Ast the two guys above me said, the AQ SDC2.5 and IA 187 were the first that came to mind. You can get Type Rs pretty cheap as well.

Aren't the IA Flaylynes considered pretty good SQ subs? Just to throw out another idea.

Yeah this phone is out because I'm not gonna pay extra money for 4g when it's not even anywhere near my area. From what I've heard, you pay the $10/month regardless of having 4g or not. Not sure how true it is, though. My buddy loves his Hero and I'm considering getting that.

No such thing as too big. I have a 67" tv in my LR so I'm of the "go big or go home" variety. I think you're confused. If the TV is 720p, then it doesn't run your games at 1080p. The TV will show any and every thing you send it as the same resolution, probably 1366x768.

I just went and measured my SSD and it was a hair over 12.5" across (including gasket).

I put it on my trunk lid and inside my front doors about a year ago. It smelled like asphalt when I applied it, and the car smelled a bit for a couple days IIRC, but I don't think it was bad. I haven't taken my door panels off lately, but I will pretty soon. When I do that I'm going to check how well it is attached. As far as I can tell it is fine. I did make sure to clean the panels with alcohol before I applied it, and it was hot that day. I let the fatmat sit on my driveway while I was prepping the car so it was pretty warm when I applied it. As far as it's deadening abilities, I'm no expert but I guess it does fine. I put it on at the same time I installed my system so I can't comment on any improvements made.
