  1. Yeah. IIRC, the SAE1200 puts out 1500 real power (I'll recheck the sundown section for the clamp test). You have other problems. EDIT: here's the test thread: http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/ind...showtopic=50753 It puts out 1700 real power with good electrical.
  2. Dang! Wish I'd know about this a little earlier. I should'a been looking. It's my fault for not checking. EDIT: do we have till the 15th to get the vid in, or order the product?
  3. It's off-brand, but not cheap (60-something a gallon) and works well. I don't have anything to compare it too, so I can't say for the thickness. I've got a good practice piece, though. Thanks for the advice.
  4. Awesome. Thanks. BTW, I have evercoat "lite weight" body filller and some off-brand fiberglass (not bondo) that works quite well. Will that work?
  5. At least you know what happened. My Xplod quit after 3 minutes of playing. I just found out recently it was drawing ground through the HU and fried. My plans are, next summer rebuild it with a board from a diff, budget amp. LOL. No really... And you'll be happier with a better amp. To put it lightly, I powered a set off (2) 60 watt 6x9's off of my 800W Xplod full tilt gains and all cranked to the maxx (I didn't care about the speakers, they were $10 Walmart specials) and didn't blow them. They didn't even get hot. And the speakers weren't very good. I blew them on a 200 watt amp with the gains set by a DMM. What does that tell you?
  6. Wow!...That's hot... I don't know what else to say. My face is trying to process the bass. LOL. Good vid! Keep 'em coming.
  7. Ant, looks like I won't be able to get the black foil Damplifier. I've been pretty busy. But I do have a question. How much would I really need? I want to deaden the doors. I know most people cover the entire door panel, but I don't want to order more than necessary. I've read somewhere (but don't know for sure) that I only need to cover then center 50% of the panel to get the desired result. What do you suggest? Thanks in advance.
  8. I plan on switching computers a time or 2. So I'd need a DC to DC converter that had a switch (without costing me a lot). Do you know of any that take 12V in and put out 18.5 volts? It needs to have at least a 3.5 amp output. Thanks.
  9. Go to radioshack. They're pretty cheap and good enough for what you will need it for.
  10. Its possible you just pulled a wire too tight and cut it somewhere. Nothing too bad, just replace it if you can afford it. But just check all the fuses first.
  11. Did you disconnect any wires while cleaning them up? If so, check, double check, triple check, and quad druple check all wires to insure they go where they're supposed to. If you didn't disconnect any wires, ignore my post.
  12. Like the title says, can I use what's known as a "current steering" diode (Source: wikipedia "Current Steering") inline before the battery that powers a power inverter? I know most power inverters can induce noise in a system (though I'm unsure how they do it), and that's why I was wondering. Could I use something like one of these: http://www.allelectronics.com/make-a-store...-25A-45V/1.html Or one of these: http://www.allelectronics.com/make-a-store...TIFIER/-/1.html Also, could I use more than one diode? I'm going to be stuck using an inverter for my setup (I already have 3 or 4 laying around, so it'd be cheaper).
  13. I didn't know that. LOL. I fail! I haven't played madden in forever (I'm not sure I remember how, lol) and I have guitar hero 2. I haven't bought any of the new ones, though.
  14. X2. That's why I never got a 360. I'd rather have a second rate, crappy, first gen PS2 (I was one of the first to get one when the old "fat" type came out) and play outdated games then spend money on games I'm probably not gonna like. I haven't seen a new game for the PS2 in forever! But I don't care.
  15. I used to use Cyberlink Powerdirector (it was only able to run on XP, so I couldn't use it when I upgraded to Vista). Here's a link: http://www.cyberlink.com/products/powerdir...view_en_US.html And I used PowerProducer to put my movies on DVD, etc. Here's a link: http://www.cyberlink.com/products/powerpro...view_en_US.html You can even slow stuff down.
  16. Awesome. I'll have to call either tomorrow or Friday. Most likely tomorrow. Thanks for having awesome products!
  17. No. The process needed to change veggie oil into a usable diesel fuel is very expensive (and dangerous). Putting those kits together is the same way. Those kits to make your own have to be priced accordingly. They're usually price "manu. cost + 1.2(manu. cost)". That sound high, but it's not cause there's usually only 1 middle man. Not to mention, compatibility issues could arise from throwing your own kit together.
  18. Talk about vague. Course, I'm one to be talking.
  19. I wear a NF. It keeps me warm in the winter and cool in the summer (no joke, I can wear it in the summer and not get hot!) paid 200 for it.
