you can do a simular design ported thru the rear deck I am running 12"s and the sealed section is ( If I remember correct) 1.17 cu ft per side and the port side is just under 3 cu ft, its tuned around 37.5- 40 hz

the port of mine fires thru the the rear seat arm rest, its a very stealth setup for sure. here is a pic of my box (to give you some idea) as you can see the port is in the middle between the two sealed enclosures, and the subs are inverted to keep the port shorter to tune lower.

I built my 4th in my car, I took the sealed and ported dementions from the JL site and worked with those numbers till I got it right, I am quite pleased at the sound, right now I am puttin 300 watts to it and it pounds, I cant imagine how it will be when I get my new 1200 watt sub amp (other blew, long story ).

I can get 14.4 now that i dumped the stupid cap I had in stalled that reduced my volts to 12.8 max, with out the xs battery ( I plan on gettin) I have 14 + at the rear

I need a new sub amp and am thinking of running my JL's at 1 ohm. question is will an amp at 1 ohm load get to hot for a daily driver ? the amps arent hidden so air flow isnt an issue and I can add fans, just wonderin if I can run the amp for long peiord of time or not

I took mine out yesterday, after finding out that my alt is putting out about 13+ volts and the cap was holding the voltage to 12.3 and couldnt be adjusted higher, it also had a loose connection that was driving me nuts. I am lookin to go to a 2nd batt in the trunk. I had light dimming with the cap and none with out LOL I used it before with no problems but I guess I am over that treshhold that it starts to reduce the affectiveness

my neighbors wont call the cops on me they will just tell me to turn it the fuck down LOL 2 of the 4 houses have my wifes relatives liven there LOL

my 6 year old likes bass, my port fires thru the center of the rear seat and she likes to fold up the arm rest and sit in the middle and asks me to boom her back I keep it at a low roar but some time I have to give in and rattle the mirrors LOL she has the bug my son on the other hand hates it even at low volume

mine isnt that bad for lag, I love it mine is/was goin to be sq but now I might change that mmmmm 18" subs , I already dont have a trunk 12" 4th order band pass
