well if it can do what its suposed to do it will be as good as the btl n2 yeah right now I'm trying to decide whether I should get an 18" Fi BTL N2 or the HDC4. what would you recommend? and would an AQ3500 be good for either of these? Don't turn this into a versus thread. Plenty of info out there for you to make your mind up about both woofers.

I wouldn't these boxes already have the innate ability to get lower then you expect due to double end correction on the port.

take your sketchup. draw a line accross the back of the port to block off the "chamber" right click and go to selction > area (or something like that) it'll give you the square inches. multiply that by height and you got your cubic inches. divide by 1728 (that's 12^3) and you got cubic feet. Design looks solid!

OP to find what your box rise is, you need a clamp meter and a DMM. it's pretty simple, really. hook the dmm up as ac voltage to the speaker leads, and clamp the clamp meter around ONE speaker wire (pick one, positive or negative, don't matter) and set it on amperage. voltage X amperage = wattage voltage / amperage = resistance < that's your rise (i may have that backwards though, check amperage / voltage just in case) If you want LESS rise, a bigger box often helps, as well as things like port flares and SMOOTH resin.

There is not attitude nor assumptions there. My reply was straight and to the point. If the truth hurts your feelings.. sorry for that.

It's one of those things where "If you have to ask, don't." But if your electrical can handle both amps at a now less efficient state then before then you could wire them at 1/2 ohm each (1 - 1 ohm load going to 2 amps strapped). For 2 3500's strapped to 1 ohm final i'd suggest at least 4 EXTRA batteries (read 5 total) and a good dual alt setup, for a BARE MINIMUM. Even then, if you can't watch a voltage gauge and know when to turn it down, just don't do it. And if you're the type of person who would blow an amp by wiring it like this and being stupid about it, then blame it on the company, DEFINATLY don't do it.

I'll put money on it that that box is tuned lower then you think it is. edit: just checked it out, 30.71 hz good luck with the build, keep pictures coming!

my truck peaks at 26-27 hz depending on the day. i'll give this a listen. edit: no videos right now though as I'm in the middle of not being able to afford a recone
