  1. i'll throw these in here too. per request of chris and bobby to see how well my system handles metal music... system handled it fine, camera hated it.
  2. thanks.. dude, your avatar is ridiculous lol
  3. Took this this morning after seeing my poor mirror flopping around on the drive home from work. Enjoy (and vote for november system of the month if you havent, plenty of good choices this month)
  4. 2 of those amps on one of those batteries? those amps will eat that battery, spit it out, and still drop your voltage to "something is going up in smoke" levels.
  5. pictures in the car? Good idea hiding a speaker in a speaker.
  6. I'll download a demo first. GT4 kinda made me loose interest in the franchise to be honest.
  7. aim for about 8 - 10 square inches of port area per cubic foot of enclosure volume after displacement. (if you were shooting for 13 cubes after displacement, you'd need 9-10 4" ports)
  8. You can flare a L-port. And yeah a pvc pipe with a flare end is fine. You just have to think about airflow, making sure the transition from pipe to flare is smooth.
  9. yes paralell lowers the ohm load allowing he amp to make more power. If your new lowered ohm load is still higher then the amps rating, you're not putting out the power the amp was rated at. Regardless, the power the amp IS making is being divided among the speakers and not multiplied by the number of speakers as the op's friend tried to make it seem.
  10. Wiring all the subs in that way is called paralllel wiring. Those being single voice coil subs, I'd put my money on them being 4 or 8 ohms each. So the amp is likely still at a higher resistance then rating. The wattage is being divided not multiplied. Your friend is most likely one of those stereotypical noobs who buys some random cheap gear, not knowing what he's taking about but wants to talk a big game. Just let him talk that talk, and show him you know more in due time.
  11. nice looking guns there. any suggestions for a newbie who wants to buy his first handgun? I've gotten some great advice so far just wanna hear the diversity of opinions out there.
  12. Both. Dont quit one job till you start another.
  13. mm... again in no order. the matrix trilogy zombieland office space the jason bourne trilogy the dark knight
  14. i want to get one that says "DEEBEEZ" .. and what exactly are you asking about the amps? those "600 watts rms" subs, if they're quality subs will take 1000 watts rms daily if you keep it clean. keep ohm loads in mind so that you know you're getting your money's worth.
  15. I didn't see anything in here whee you actually bought or made aero ports. A piece if pvc pipe does not an aero port make. also search google for port tuning calculator.
  16. I like it all except the part where he goes "flaaat liiiine productions" in that gay whisper. Can't stand when dj's do that.. it's like they're purposely trying to make a song suck. tell your friend keep up the good work.
  17. one of these should help.
  18. So your very first post on this forum is for asking for us to vote for you? Too good to talk us before you need something? Sorry I don't mean to seem like a dick but this just rubs me the wrong way. You're prolly a good guy and I apologize ahead of time, and I'm sure you'll understand, I'm going to go and vote - for anyone but you. Stick around and contribute, I'm sure you have a lot of knowledge to throw into the pool here.
  19. Do us a favor and don't offer advice anymore. kthx. you think the vibration is transferred to the amp via the supports connected to the box? no it's gonna be from the big ass surface area on the bottom of it catching the air waves. And.. how would he sandwich foam between 2 pieces of wood? spray glue? I wouldn't trust my amp to that. Putting screws through it all will defeat the purpose, coupling the top piece to the bottom piece with hard pieces of metal. OP- figure out what subs you want, then figure out how much space you need, then figure your box out and mount the amp out of the way of the ports, you could do a recess in the front of the box for it if theres no where else to put it.
  20. what are the specs and why do you feel the need to put the amp over the most turbulent place in the vehicle?
